You can see from my previous reviews i have stayed here alot, but this year it just wasn't as good.

Upon arrival we was greeted by the usual smiling faces of the reception staff who was very quick, friendly and efficient.

We then went upto our room which was clean and bedding was all nice and fresh, but then found a few problems we had no shower curtain or pole which meant we couldn't shower properly, we had no balcony chairs, the balcony door didn't lock and the air conditioning in the bedroom constantly leaked water. So we went down and informed the reception staff who added it to the 'to do list' 2 days later we got a shower curtain pole, and 3 days later after a little more asking we got our shower curtain.

The balcony chairs was still not there by day 5 so we went and got some and carried them up on own own to get that done quicker. The balcony door and air conditioning was never fixed and we gave up asking so for our entire stay the balcony door didn't look and we didn't use the air conditioning in the bedroom. This was disappointing.

The TV and air con in the living room did work which was a relief and the fridge worked very well and kept our drinks nice and cool. The cleaners did a fantastic job as always and changed bedding on a couple of occasions and left us fresh clean towels.

We did on a couple of occasions have ticket sellers knock on our room door which isn't the hotels fault as such but can be annoying. You can usually tell if they're ticket sellers are you'll hear doors being knocked on all in one go, a usual sign of a ticket seller.

The noise from BCM and Magaluf Square wasn't a problem, even if you could hear it a little but expect a loud hotel with people coming and going and being noisy at just about every time of day.

Hotel is in prime location only a stones throw away from the strip and right next door to BCM.

WiFi is available in the hotel, kitchen had a oven top, microwave and fridge. Bedroom has 2 beds, a small table and safe. Living room had a table and 4 chairs, a sofa bed and pull out bed under it and a 32" HD TV with various ENG / ESP channels.

Balcony (when we got it) had 2 chairs and a table!

Room Tip: I like a high floor, room E as you get great views of the beach and ocean!

As ever with hotel bookings it depends on what you pay and what you are expecting - it appeared these apartments are pretty much solely used for stag do’s or groups of blokes, which is what we were.

Rooms were pretty rough, the shower attachment was missing so the shower head was just loose in the bath, the AC didn’t work at all. The balcony was bigger than the rooms? The hotel insisted on a 50 Euro deposit per person which I thought was a bit OTT but upon looking over the balcony, there was a dozen or so balcony chairs and even a bed that had been lobbed onto the roof by previous guests, so you can understand why.

The pool was filthy, I think it’s seawater but it was cloudy and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for a while

Bar area and restaurant were OK, the guys working there were incredibly friendly and deserve some sort of award for putting up with their guests. The breakfast was actually pretty good, I’ve had far worse

Great location for the strip, if that’s what you want. But obviously noisy all night, again it all depends on what you are expecting, this is what we went for so perfect really

Perfect for Stag/ 18-30 holiday. 2 guys that run the place were great and always friendly. Bar and restaurant next to the pool. Located next to BCM and right next to all the bars and a short walk to the beach. Surprisingly not too noisy considering how close it is to BCM. Conclusion: Yes if you want a place to stay with a pool for a lads/ girls holiday on the lash. No if you want a quiet, pleasant, cultural break.

Oh dear... what was that floating in the pool? for 3 days? which war zone was the building transported from? why did our key work only when you gave the door a good thump? why did our patio door not lock? or the safe only lock if you connected the batteries together with a bit of foil from a pastilles tube - and still cost 3 euros a day? how do you fit 4 people in an apartment the size of a garden shed? what episode of antiques road show did the kitchen ware appear? wonder what the signs round the pool once said or the pictures once depicted?

You just wouldn't want to bring your family... or wife... and even for a stag do the hotel Samos is sooo much better (some of our party booked in there for less!!)

Having said all that the bar and restaurant at the bottom of the hotel (not sure if its run as a separate entity) was great,, fab breakfast ... fab lovely people running it (alright Tommy) .. even had a steak there which would have put a much posher place to shame.

So.. a scary dump with nice (trying to do their best) staff and fab (cheap and cheerful) restaurant attached. Oh and great location.
