First time in this hotel and resort .First class hotel the staff very nice and very helpful ,but you seem to be in a old peoples home with the guests getting on a bit they go to bed early and rise early to claim there sunbeds before 6am , the breakfast are good and meals at dinner are ok but could do with some variety .the older guests seem to get there moneys worth at mealtimes I wouldn't think that they consume so much food when they are at home. Cala Bona is nice but small and quiet If you want something less sedate go somewhere else.

We have just arrived back after a week's stay at the levante hotel. When we booked we were under the belief that there was only one hotel after getting out paperwork we saw we had been put in the La Luna which is a beddng annex next door. After reading reviews we complained to Thompson (who didn't care at all) after paying another £382 we were transferred to Leventa so please check your paperwork. However we enjoyed our stay hotel lovely, food good, entertainment good especially the tribute act Best of Jersey.

We always look forward to going back to the hotel, this being our 5th visit in as many years. We had a superior sea facing room, which like most of the rooms had been updated with a lovely walk in shower.
The hotel had added further rooms overlooking the court yard, and the reception and dining room had also been refurbished.
The staff, many of whom have been working at the hotel for many years, were all very polite and hard working.
We find it totally ridiculous that people start putting towels on sunbeds before 6am, and its still dark. By 8 all the sunbeds had towels on them. I find it amazing that people want to sit in rows, and very close to the next person.
We always used the sundeck where there are plenty of new sunbeds together with cushions, and lots of space.
The food is a good standard for a buffet. The entertainment was not too bad, the il divo tribute were the best of the week.
We normally come in April, so noticed the difference in the number of people
about in Cala Bona in the first week in September.
There is a tourist tax of 23 euros for 2 people for a week, we understand that next year this is going to double, this is bizarre as this will stop people coming to the island, where tourism must be the biggest industry , this also applies to the other two islands.

Myself and sister arrived at hotel on the 4th september to find after booking a hotel and room which is accessible for a wheelchair was an absolute nightmare. We were ferried round the corner to the la luna which resembelled a hostel, couldnt even get up the 2 steps outside to open the door which opened onto the road and was unable to use the door card to open the door as it was high up the wall unreachable in a wheelchair.
To cut a long story short, we went straight back to reception where we spoke to re ceptionist (little man) and his attitude stunk, he was very abrupt and could not have cared less about our predicament. We had to wait till the following day (mid morning) until we got a response. Kirsty the Thomspon Rep was very good, eventually after several phone calls, emails, and phone calls from family back in uk we eventually got the only room available in Majorca (so they said) about 10 miles away. This still was not great but it was that or return home. Not the greatest experience we had, total waste of money.

Room Tip: If you need to use a wheelchair stay clear of this hotel?

We had room 706 and it was superb, newly refurbished with lovely views, fridge and sat TV. Air Con worked well and was quiet. Cleaning was fine as was reception people. All in all a good experience. The only niggle was WiFi in the room - hit and miss.

All the staff were lovely, the pool area was clean (need to get up v early for a sunbed); we watched people from our room putting towels down at 06:00 and all beds gone by 07:00. Sundeck though was available all day. The gym was actually OK, good views, two runners, two bikes, a couple of benches and some dumb bells. No music/TV so take your own radio/MP3 player if you need to.

Cala Bona is an OK family type resort with loads of shops, places to eat, a marina and bike hire places; the resort runs into Cala Millor (more of the same but bigger).

Can't comment on the entertainment as not our thing but from the little we saw it was OKish.

The biggest downside with the Hotel Levante was the food. It's OK but nothing more than that. The same every breakfast and pretty much the same every night. Don't get me wrong everything was cooked fine but Just lacked imagination. Most people I spoke to said the same.

Just to clear up on the long trousers. Evening meals men HAVE to be in long trousers.

We stayed 7 days and when we left we were sad - says it all.
