Just got back from Talyot an old fashion hotel right on the front have been once before and nothing changes which for me is good . Very clean hotel, with good friendly staff ,good food .Plenty of sunbeds around pool.
Would recommend for a week but not for two weeks as food and entertainment are both good but very repetetive. One singer was on four times in two weeks

A week here is like visiting an old friend. Sadly this year the friend was looking a little worse for wear!
Food This was as usual very good with plenty of choice for most people and well prepared.
Rooms Looking a little dated now. The pillows are bolsters for those that remember them. They are rock hard and heavy presumably from years of use.
Entertainment is laid back BUT do you really need to see two of the acts twice in one week?
Facilities Pool areas clean with plenty of sunbeds. Indoor pool cold and under used. Plenty of chairs in Lounge - most guests go out at night (See Entertainment).
Over charged for drinks from Bar.
Many older repeat guests means hotel doesnt have to bother making any real effort to entertain. What happens when they all pass on? Complacency could lead to problems in future.

This was our 2nd visit to this hotel and it won't be our last...if you're looking for a quiet relaxing holiday, with great staff to look after you, then this is it..We had requested a corner sea view room, and got 402, which was great, although we didn't spend a lot of time in the room..the tv was very hit and miss, but I don't go away to watch tv, some people do and you can hear quite clearly what people are watching..also why do people wear heels when going to the loo late at night and early in the morning? On the whole the noise in our room was minimal. The age groups that stay here are mainly the over 50's (me!), but there is a good mix..The staff have been there for awhile and everyone was extremely friendly and helpful, from Bernat thru to Gabriel who has been there for 25 years..you must try his paella, the best I've ever eaten.. usually Weds @ 6 euros..reception staff were great, my husband's suitcase didn't arrive with us!! Panic stations, but Maria sorted within the hour...I do have a few gripes and, if these were addressed would improve the hotel a little..the hiring price of the fridge for a two week holiday is extortionate..the food..hmm I'd like to see more fresh veg (who batters broccoli/cauliflower?) and more potato choice, not all English eat chips with everything..one night they had swordfish - yum, but the fresh veg was sprouts(?)..I'd like to see a more mediterranean feel to the menu..and less green, red, yellow jellies!! Another gripe is the enterntainment, and I know that a lot of hotels are the same, but if I was running the business I would want to keep my clientele in the building, spending money, not leaving because of the bingo & line dancing..their excuse was it's what people want, but the bingo pot wasn't that big, which reflects how many were doing it and only 10 to 15 people line dancing (why to they never smile!!), Sante is a HUGE improvement on last year and given a bit more free rein could turn things around..it could do with a good comedian, more up to date music (anything past 1980 would be good, yes, I know, it's "what the guests want", but you need to build on your clientele otherwise you'll have none left..) The pools are great, but underused, get an aqua class going on on the inside pool, I nearly offered!! I did the 'towel on sunbed' thing at 8, but to be honest it wasn't really necessary as there are plenty and plenty of sunbathing opportunities...and again the daytime entertainment lacked something..

We were there with 4 generations of family, probably the last time it will happen, and had a splendid holiday, in fact my daughter & grandsons have re-booked to go back in 6 weeks and hopefully we are all the future of this lovely hotel...

Room Tip: the rooms without sea views still get a lot of afternoon sun, and, if you want to look at the sea, c...

We returned from our holiday in May with my daughter and husband , and the only fault I can find with the hotel is the entetainment, in so much as the second week was the same as the first. The food was very good and served hot and the sweets were very moorish. The hotel is well placed for both Cala Millor and Cala Bona with plenty of bars and shops. So my biggest complaint was not against the hotel but pPalma Airport, what a shambles , also on the return jorney our coach did not show up .Bring back reps on the coaches. ps booked again for next year.
