This was an unexpected pleasure to enjoy the ambiance and soak in the atmosphere watching the flamenco dancers perform to live music was amazing and free to boot. Thank you.

This plaza de toros is the smallest in Spain. It has a unique oval shape. The small museum has plaques showcasing the matadors who have fought there.
The town of Mijas is adorable and the bull ring is located at the top of the town. For only 3 Euros each, you can tour inside. It is a small bull ring, especially compared to the ones we saw in Ronda and Seville, but it was not crowded when we visited so it was nice to walk around with only one other couple. Families would enjoy because there is a fake bull in the middle that I'm sure children (and adults) would love to pose with (no climbing!)
Paid our 3 euros each for entry to the typically unfriendly girl in the shop. Pretty basic tour then after 20mins and taking some photos we were accused of not paying. Demanded to see tickets which we produced. Then accused of them being for an earlier day!! As if anyone would want to go twice? Girl then ranting in Spanish and snatched our tickets. I think a career change might be a good idea for her??
The plaza is gorgeous with the bull arena which you can visit for E3, the church next to it, colourful garden with fountain and a cliff with the next view ion Mijas. My favourite place while we were at the village. The bull arena brought us back in the past with information about the shows, the costumes and a small gift shop.
Beautiful place - Bullring is superb - dead cheap to get in €3 and gives you a real sense of what the events were like . Fabulous setting and stunning views of the coast and the mountains. Parking in the multi story dead easy and dirt cheap !
