On a recent visit to Lisbon, and a day trip to Porto we were in need of a pleasant lunch and we stumbled across this gem in Nova de Gaia on the other side of the Dom Luis 1 bridge. We went for the very good value tourist menu which included bread, soup, sardines and potatoes and a apple dessert. It was tremendous.
The bread was pleasant, the soup very tasty and the sardines delicious. It was cooked perfectly and served simply with potatoes and olive oil but it needed little else. A lovely taste of Portugal. And it was topped off with a excellent apple poached in cinnamon and red wine. Tremendous value for 15 euros. And good service and a amazing location overlooking the River Douro. Awesome
