Good quality traditional Portuguese food. The various set menus are a great way of trying some traditional dishes. The waiting staff were very professional and friendly. Highly recommended.

Thoroughly enjoyed a typical Portuguese lunch on the trendy Gaia waterfront amongst all the major Port wineries. The food was excellent and the view across the water to Porto, iconic.

On a recent visit to Lisbon, and a day trip to Porto we were in need of a pleasant lunch and we stumbled across this gem in Nova de Gaia on the other side of the Dom Luis 1 bridge. We went for the very good value tourist menu which included bread, soup, sardines and potatoes and a apple dessert. It was tremendous.

The bread was pleasant, the soup very tasty and the sardines delicious. It was cooked perfectly and served simply with potatoes and olive oil but it needed little else. A lovely taste of Portugal. And it was topped off with a excellent apple poached in cinnamon and red wine. Tremendous value for 15 euros. And good service and a amazing location overlooking the River Douro. Awesome

Local cuisine at Beira Rio restaurant located nearby Douro river in the central Porto.
Our choice from menu wasn’t expected as it was served. Peas with Codfish and rice on sideplate was unusual, and pork served with egg, fries and… rice again!
Vinho Verde was the most delicious thing during our dinner at this restaurant honestly. At this place would not definitely come back. I believe there are much more greater places to have very traditional Portuguese food.
