We stayed here for 5 days and what a great place to forget the world. Close to the 5 cities without the chaos. Amazing views and great service from the whole team. Dinners are limited choice, but great taste and excellent value. We want to go back as soon as we can. Highly recommended.

If you are hiking the Cinque Terre this little hotel is ideally located and boasts fabulous views of the Italian Riviera.
You must understand, the rooms are not large or luxurious, but they have small private balconies that look out over the entire coast.
The small hotel is a family-run operation, and if you are fortunate you will get to meet the resident friendly dog, Nina. There is a small restaurant on location, which features a very nice breakfast included, and after a long day of hiking it is a relief to relax with such an incredible view and enjoy their hospitality and comfort food. You can even order pizza from nearby Levanto.
The trailhead for Levanto, only a short hike away, is only steps away, and going South you can easily reach the trail to Monterosso to begin your Cinque Terre adventure.

We stayed at La Giada del Mesco on the recommendation of someone we know down near Montepulciano and we were not disappointed. The place was very comfortable with a really nice breakfast in the morning. We were there the very last weekend that they were open for the season. Luca - one of the owners/managers - could not have been nicer or more accommodating. The shuttle down the hill to the town made getting around exceptionally easy, both in the town of Levanto and to the towns of Cinque Terre.

We had really high hopes for this hotel based on TripAdvisor ratings we'd read while planning our trip, but we were very disappointed. Our bottom line is that the hotel has an outstanding view, and provides shuttle service - those are what the 2 point rating is for. Otherwise, there's nothing. The room we had (a sea view room triple at 160 Euro per night) was typical of what a $45 - $55 room would be in the U.S. We arrived at around 4:30 in the afternoon to check in (a typical check-in time) and the gate was locked, plus we couldn't get anyone to answer the call button at the gate. Finally, my husband reached his hand through the gate and turned the key (great security) to get us in. We went through the door marked "hotel" and stood at the reception desk for a couple minutes before ringing the bell to get someone's attention. We rang the bell repeatedly until someone came running in. We checked in without issue, but was not told about Wi-Fi or what the other 2 keys on the keyring were for. The room was small and the bathroom shower was a joke - I'm 5'4" and could barely fit in the shower. The staff was not helpful at any point except when called for a shuttle (which we did only one time). The hotel is not located in Levanto, but about 1.5 KM above Levanto, so if you're looking for a hotel where you can walk to dinner and back, this is not it. They do provide a shuttle service on a set schedule; no special shuttle services are provided, We would definitely use Levanto again as a base for a Cinque Terre visit, but NOT this hotel

Room Tip: Sea view only

Comfortable room, excellent service. The town has great restaurants. Levanto is one entry point into the Cinque Terre. The possibilities for hiking are endless, kayaking, sight seeing, shopping as well. Our room had a million dollar view with a patio overlooking the Mediterranean. The pool had a negative edge with a spacious sitting area.

Room Tip: They're all good.
