Deliscious pasta and bruschetta. Best meal 6 days into our stay in South Italiy. Good vegetarian options. The lemon pasta was great.

Casereccia with the garden, tables under lemontrees is a very good choice for a dinner. Food is abolutely delicious - during our one week stay we ate there 3 times. Rabbit, frutti di mare, pizza, chicken. Every pick was very tasty. We especially recommend the rabbit in Ischia way - brilliant.
And desserts - kind of icecream cakes? - once more - absolutely delicious.
We stayed at the Poggio del Sole for a week and ate at the Casereccia 3 nights, all the food was very good though I have to say the service could be a bit hit and miss. 2 nights were fine but 1 we ordered pasta and pizza planning to share, this was a good job as the pasta arrived and was eaten a good 15 minutes before the pizza arrived. Everything is freshly prepared so this could explain some of the wait but food should come out together. The staff are very friendly and work very hard, the owners are fantastic and helped us out a lot, I'll review the hotel seperately.
This was the BEST pizza ever - we thought we were just ordering slices (we're from NY, that's how they come!) so we ordered 3 to split... turned out we were ordering full pizzas! And it was just me and my husband! We started with the fresh seafood appetizer and caprese salad - was delish!!! And we managed to completely eat ALL 3 pizzas (we didn't eat the crusts, in order to save room!). They were so good we couldn't stop, plus the crust isn't as heavy as in the US so it didn't leave us feeling overly stuffed and lethargic. They were so good!! Plus we were the only tourists there, it filled up around 9:30 and everybody else eating there were locals!
I have been visiting Forio for six years and always visit La Casereccia as it is such a friendly restaurant and has such a variety of fabulous food. Whether you choose to sit inside or outside the atmosphere is great and the staff are always attentive and helpful. Mamma Tina cooks a stunning il coniglio al'ischitana and the ravioli is a must. I eat here at least three times a week and stay for two weeks twice a year and it really is the best and most affordable restaurant in Forio. If you are looking for a romantic meal, family meal or somewhere for a large celebration then do visit this restaurant and if you get a chance stay at Poggio del Sole you can walk down the hill and dine every evening. It is always a good sign when you see the restaurant packed with locals and the family are well loved by everyone. Can't wait to return see you very soon.
