A bit to fancy to be good! Ceasar-salads are drenched in lemon, and does not really have the ingrediences that a ceasar salad normally have. The Portobello salad doesn't have a entire leaf of salad, but looks like a tower, with some bread and cold tastless mushroom inbetween.
Drinks were good though. And one of us had a "proper" dinner with chicken and potato, and that was actually good (acording to my friend!)

Overpriced and not worth it!

Portobello Mushroom Salad...two skinny pieces of mushroom on a hard white bread crust, no vegetables or salad to speak of. $14.00 ! And the Cesar salad had no romaine lettuce or anchovies and the chicken was hard to find. Beautiful decor, but my meal should not pay for it. There are many other restaurants that offer far more for a much better price. Get your act together, this is Central America not France. We expect decent honest food at decent prices that reflect the quality. The quality here was totally lacking.

Bistro Estrada is in front of this 6 room Boutique Hotel in Granada, Nicaragua. When you enter the Bistro Estrada you will feel this special atmosphere that involves you and that the owners have decorated very special for their exclusive clientele. The food is excellent and the service is impeccable. I will always going to visit Bistro Estrada when I visit Granada. I really recommend this place.

I visited Bistro Estrada on Valentine's Day, and I have to say the food was excellent. I had the "medallones de res" and it was the tastiest/most tender beef I have eaten in Granada, the carpaccio was excellent as well. The cappuccino mousse was a treat, the service was good and you cannot compare the ambiance this place has with any other place in Granada. Job well done!!

It is the Poetry Week in Granada and on we were recommended to go to La Casona, and also received a lot of emails advertising the Bistro. So we went. The Bistro is well furnished but we wondered why we were the only customers. Well now we know. There were three of us, all well travelled and lovers of good food. The menu had flowery descriptions of the dishes, and that was where it ended. The Tuna at $24 dollars (high for Nicaragua) tasted of cardboard, The beef arrived without the Bearnaise sauce. paper napkins in a water glass reflected the standard of the serive cutlery. The smoked salmon with goat cheese was ok and nicely presented the only professional touch was a sprig of herb, . Prices very high. The salad with dried pears, should have been a new experience but they may as well have been dried platanos for all the difference they made and portion would have been ok for a childs starter not a fifeteen dollar main dish.. That is why the place was empty , The hotel was and is charming, but forget the new Bistro , its a rip off of the worst kind, the portion control, cooking, presentation and pricing need complete revision. And there was no competent manager to complain to only a young eager to please but not able to understand our displeasure or communicate properly even though two of us were Nicaraguan and I have been a resident for sixteen years.
