We explored all of the restaurant menus as we walked down the festive street of the Calle La Calzada before deciding where to eat. The street is always closed off for vehicle traffic so there are all sorts of unique outdoor/indoor restaurants along the way. This neighborhood is a fun place to visit in the early evening to enjoy happy hour, music, craft stalls etc. You cannot miss the Hotel Dario & its Restaurant El Tranvia. The building and setting are of gorgeous architecture. One of the best I saw. We chose to eat dinner here one evening because they have a lovely indoor open air courtyard with a water feature and offered a little quieter dining experience then eating in an outdoor cafe along the Calzada. The service was excellent and the wine, appetizer & sides were very good. We all ordered the house special of lobster which I admit as other reviewers have said was probably not a good choice. It was cooked fine but tasted just ok. Hopefully based on reviews they will change it. We probably should have gone for the steak. Dining in Granada is a great bargain so all and all we paid a very fair price for our meal. We were not looking for a "gourmet" type place. The setting though is really really beautiful and the wait staff super friendly. I'm glad we dined here for it is really a beautiful Hotel and you can't beat the ambience. After trying several different places in and around town, we decided Granada's best bets were grilled lake fish, pork or steak. We plan to visit again in the future and order something different to give it a fair shake for I'm sure it will be great
