Yes, the “home” was a colonial mansion, but it felt like home nonetheless. As many have mentioned in precious reviews, the hospitality and all-encompassing attention that Esther gave us and our group was top-notch. From beginning to end—the delicious, home-cooked breakfasts each morning, the “insider” help with a tour for our large group or local restaurant recommendations, and the attention to our needs—everything was taken care of. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and we would have slept very well had it not been for the loud festivities every night on the streets of Granada that first week of December...

This was our first time to Granada and we were fortunate to stay at Casa Cubana. The owner, Uli and his associate, Esther, are fantastic people. Both are personable, well traveled, knowledgeable and love Granada. We had the large room with lots of light upstairs. Breakfasts were consistently excellent. Uli helped us to arrange tours and recommend restaurants. We very much enjoyed our week in Granada, thanks to Uli, Esther and Casa Cubana.

Room Tip: We liked the room upstairs because it was private and had lots of light. Stairs were steep.

I stayed at Casa Cubana for three nights during my trip to Granada, Nicaragua. I have travelled all over the world and can honestly say that this was the best B & B I've ever stayed in. The spacious interior was beautiful with plants, a pool, and hammocks decorating an outdoor courtyard. The room was large and beautiful with a comfortable bed and a bathroom. The breakfasts reflected the culture, were different each day, and were delicious. Best of all, Esther, who manages the B & B was warm and helpful. I couldn't have asked for a better place to start my adventure!

Room Tip: All the rooms are wonderful.

The real benefit of staying here is getting to know Esther, who is a manager who goes above and beyond to make sure your time in Granada is relaxing and fun. The rooms are clean, large and quiet, with nice details. You are close to off-beat restaurants and bars, and a 15-minute walk from the Parque Central (which, for me, was ideal).

Room Tip: Second floor room is nominally more private, but all are similar.

A small B&B, Casa Cubana attracts travelers from all over the world. It's comfy, homey, has great breakfasts (included in the price), and wonderful conversations around the communal breakfast table. It's location provides ease of movement for walking throughout the city itself, where there are great sights, restaurants, bars, outlying places to visit. Esther, the host, is there to help with your every need. Hazell cooks up a storm at breakfast, and Bella, the dog, just chills and relaxes with everyone. We'd go back in a heartbeat!
