Mixed reviews about this place. The location was amazing, being less than 30 seconds away from Parc Central. It was also very safe place, and was quiet at night which we liked too. The pool in the lobby was great to cool off in, and was very clean. The kitchen is nice to have as well. In our room, the bathrooms were clean, and the showers were heated with powerful heads. We found our bed to be quite uncomfortable though, and when it rained, our room leaked a lot, so much so that we had to move all of our luggage onto the bed so that it didn't get soaked on the floor. because of all the leaking, our room felt/smelled damp, even with keeping windows and doors open. We weren't impressed that Gerry knew that it was a leaky room, and set us up in there anyways at regular room rates. On the plus, Gerry was a super guy, and was very helpful in suggestions and any other information we needed. I'm sure if we were in a different room, our rating of this place would have been higher.

Room Tip: a room on the second floor would probably be the nicest.

We stayed at Jerry's for 5 nights. Such a friendly guy, checks in with us every day: how are things, what are our plans, whether we need anything or would like our room cleaned, fresh towels etc. His Spanish maids do a fantastic job keeping everything clean & tidy. The room was clean & spacious and the beds were comfortable. The room had both ceiling fans & plug in floor fans, or you can opt to pay an extra $10 a night for the aircon (we toughed it out). When I first arrived I thought the shower was dirty but on closer inspection it is a water mark (calcium deposit from the hard water), the bathroom was immaculate. The cleanliness of the room could not be faulted - and I am picky. Water was hot & cold, I preferred cold as it was so humid when we stayed.

The communal courtyard kitchen area is fab, swing chair by the pool is great to relax in. The pool offered much welcomed relief from the afternoon sun. (It was clean and in excellent condition) the kitchen is clean & well equipped - fridge, freezer, gas cooker, plenty of pots pans cutlery etc. Free filtered water, tea, filter coffee, cereal & milk, & popcorn available all day (help yourself) There is a laptop for communal use, a book swap & WiFi throughout.

You are given a key to come and go as you please all day & night. The place feels really safe, front security gate, front door (which is always locked) and lock on your room.

Jerry recommended local excursions & places to eat, helped us with our travel plans. We should have stayed 4 nights but ended up staying 5 due to being "Nica'd" with our next accommodation choice further North.

If you are looking to party this accommodation isn't for you. If you want budget friendly accommodation, a private ensuite room, great central location with a relaxed environment and the luxury of a pool, this place is perfect.

This place is just outside central park. The rooms were extremely clean. And Jerry is one hell of a host. There is a reason this place has so many 5 star reviews it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Even after we checked out he continued to help us. We got a flat tire on the way out of the city and he showed us where to go. He also told us where else to stay once his place booked up. Thanks for all your help!

Room Tip: Pick the balcony room. You can see the volcano and over look the pool.
