“Mesmerizing experience again and again”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 July 2013

Triveni Ghat is located near the main market of Rishikesh. 3 kms far from Ram Jhula & 5 kms far from Lakshman Jhula. Auto Rickshaw (Vikram) charges are Rs. 5 from Ram Jhula & Rs.10 from Lakshman Jhula (Tapovan) for sharing basis. The best thing i like about this place is atmosphere. Ghat is a ahindi word which means steps where people can take a holy bath at river. Triveni Ghat has a beautiful view of hills with River Ganga. Evening time it is full of local people and tourists. The best time to visit here is evening. Every evening there is small prayer for the holy river Ganges. So many people join this prayer. Pundit chants vedic mantras & use diyas (Oil Lights) for the prayer. Its not about the religion but its about river or water which gives life to the people. Must visit place if you come to rishikesh.

“Amazing”

Wish I could be back there now to experience the deep devotion of Ganga Aarti and the beautiful presence of Mother Ganga. We experienced Aarti at several places and they are all truly wonderful. Not to be missed.

“A Holy Experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 June 2013

Its a long walk to the Triveni Ghat from the drop off point for vehicles, so keep that in mind when planning to go for a puja there. The Ganges is at its best in Rishikesh and the whole experience of watching the Ganga aarti at the Ghat is amazing. They management manage the crowd quite well inspite of the large nos. We didnt have any issues being there inspite of having a 5 year old and a 60 year old in the group.

“Very few visitor around even when Yatra season had started.”

One can get very close view but not a very colorful affair. The organizers allow anyone willing to participate in the Arati to pay a nominal amount for puja.
