Family friendly and great view

Very clean, the staff does his best effort to make your feel confortable, the food is great with options (international and indian). The room has a great view with the river and sound of nature all around.

recently went to rainforest house rishikesh

it was one of the best experience visiting here as the cost was also cheap and the ambience where it was located was excellent and one thing more is that this place is well connected with other places

Lovely oasis of calm with helpful, friendly staff

We had a wonderful time at Rainforest house. I was traveling with my partner and our friend (we are all in our thirties) and we had two of the nine rooms. The location is secluded which suited us (about a 5 min drive to Laxman Jhula bridge or a 40 min walk which we didn't attempt). The rooms are large, clean with a nice balcony (we were on the upper floors). The staff are very friendly and helpful. The manager was extremely helpful and sweet natured, he organised taxis and trips for us and made suggestions about what we could do with our time. He made us feel welcomed and even allowed us a late checkout before our afternoon flight. This was really appreciated.
The setting is unique in that it's set within the forest with a waterfall running alongside it leading to the Ganges. It's not uncommon to see red or black face monkeys running around the gardens early morning which was magical to observe.
A few things that it is good to be aware of are:
- taxis into town cost around 350 INR one way to the bridge (due to the recent monsoon ending it was not possible for us to use the walkway along the water)
- food at the house is tasty and the portions are very generous. The Indian food is healthy and tasty cooked in an avervadic style. This costs 400 INR per meal (same price for lunch and dinner) which is a little expensive however there isn't anywhere else close-by and the food is fresh
- the pathway leading to the property from the road is quite steep and not properly cut out from the stones so there is a lot of gravel which means at times you can slip. It could be an issue for some people
- the property is enjoyable most when it's quiet and empty. We had some families with children staying at the same time as us and due to the small nature of the property found this made it a bit noisy at times

Wonderland away from the city!

We were eager to explore Rishikesh after a crowded visit to Mussoorie,though our hotel there was fine too but we needed a serene escapade and thus started searching for some place,my husband found about this place among the forests few kilometres away from Rishikesh but the photos and reviews made us book this spot.
Rainforest house is a beautiful property in the vicinity of nature..the ganga water is flowing right next to the hotel rooms and there are lot of recreational activities you can do there.We did yoga in nature and it just felt divine.The only issue is that if you will reach late like we did to this place you will have little difficulty in finding the place,though they are working on many things around and hopefully it will only make the place a busier hideout for lot of travellers..
The food was very soothing and subtle too,there is no television in the room and you will feel at peace with yourself once there.It’s a great place for kids too,there were many families with kids and they seemed to enjoy a lot.
Just below the place as you’ll walk there is a track that leads you near to the river were rafting boats were going..this place is also a stopping point for rafters.
It’s a beautiful property and I would suggest everyone and anyone thinking of a hideout to visit this place!!

Jwel among crowd

Sure shot a place to get true experince of Ganga and peace. well loctaed in forest near Ganga, well managed and owners are lover of Nature and Peace, You can feel the Gnaga and mythology of Hindu dharm. pure veg, smoke feee and food served here is excellent .
