After a long day at the Washington DC Zoo we fought traffic for about 30 miles and then decided to stop for dinner. We found Giorgio's via Yelp and decided to give it a try. It's located in a small strip mall and can be easily missed without gps. It sits on the corner and offers compact parking. There is a small patio available for outdoor seating. Upon entering the restaurant it is surprisingly bigger than it appears from the outside. It is full of table tops but unfortunately offers no booth seating. We found the chairs to be very uncomfortable but most people probably wont be bothered.
Our waitress was nice enough without being overbearing but she was not quite as efficient as she could have been. Especially since there were three tables dining at the time we were.
The water is served warm, our waitress brought us ice. The bread had an excellent flavor but was so hard we felt it was too hard to chew. It was also cold so the butter didnt melt on the bread.
We each had a different dish. I had the chicken souvlaki and it was very good. The Tzatki sauce was delicious and well made. I even enjoyed the french fries and I am not a fan of fries in general.
Other dishes enjoyed were the seafood plate, turkey club and chicken sandwich. Our table also ordered fried zucchini.
In short, the food was good and we would come back if we were in the area.
