Many of my Northern Virginia pals are blues musicians. Tagged along for Thursday night live blues with harmonica and guitar in a very intimate setting. What a lovely night with unexpected surprises. The building itself is fascinating. Once a post office, then a shoe repair store for decades and now an inviting hangout. Coffee, pastries and good wines were sampled on the first floor. Upstairs is an amazing re-creation of a high end speak-easy with a chandelier from an Al Capone club. Will have to come back in the spring for the outdoor bocci garden. So if you like live music, upbeat service and good victuals and beverages drop by. You may even have a saxophonist walk in from the street blowing the blues like we did.
