This location is prime! Students can walk to it from the dorms or their classes. Walk to after enjoying a performance at the Forbes Center. Or stop in just visiting, it's easy to get to and they have parking in front and back. They have an awesome Dukes Dog on the wall. Plenty of TVs to watch. Booths or tables to sit at and can fit any size party. The temps were comfortable, especially on this hot day. The staff was extremely attentive and pleasant. Our table was kept clean throughout. Refills came at the right time. We ordered a chicken burger, which had the perfect amount of toppings, chicken tasted fresh and grilled nicely, liked the addition of bacon, and the bun was toasted to just the right amount of crisp. I love shredded lettuce so much better than just a wimpy piece laid on top. The fries were excellent, perfect crunchy coating, tender inside, and served hot. We also had the alfredo, which comes with a generous amount of pasta, creamy and rich sauce that isn't overwhelming. Garlic bread was a nice addition. And our third dish was the Brickhouse Rye. Bread was fresh, not dry. Again, loved the shredded lettuce. Generous amount of meat, different flavors blended well. Served with pasta salad, which happens to be the best pasta salad we've ever had. All 3 of us tried it. The seasoning, rich dressing, pasta cooked just right. Couldn't get enough of it. I liked the receipt had tip percentage amounts, that helps when completing the check. And I liked that we were checked on by more than just out waitress. She was awesome, btw. Even though she was training someone, she kept up with us and had a great personality and energy. Will definitely return when in the area.
