You cannot go wrong with a meal at the L'Auberge Chez Francois. We have been going there for our anniversary just about every year, for 34 years. Our Fave is the Chateaubriand for two. Great wine selection. Great presentation, service, atmosphere - you name it. Be sure to order the soufflé.

The best of fresh cuisine and fine wines. Reputation superb in northern United States. More reasonable than flying to Paris for dinner!

The food and service are excellent. We enjoyed the weekday lunch atmosphere and the leisurely paced 4 courses. We usually have the set menu.

For over 23 years, L' Auberge Chez Francois remains our #1 favorite restaurants for birthdays, anniversaries, or whenever we just need to treat ourselves to a special dinner. From the fresh herbs and vegetables picked from the garden to the 5 star service, every meal is a special fine dining experience. We tend to go for the later seating, around 8:30 pm. You definitely need to come hungry because a wonderful medley of food awaits, from the garlic bread and special cottage cheese and fresh breads to the decadent chocolate torte dessert, every mouthful is a delight.

My husband had the fresh garden vegetable gazpacho soup which was delicious and the filet mignon. I had the Roquefort cheese and pear tart (always a favorite) followed by the duck - perfectly cooked.

The service is always 5 star. From the little things like another wait staff smiling and standing out of your way so you can walk past to the pacing of the dishes so you do not feel rushed, it is a always a great experience. We had Andrew, who had a fun personality and showed us the burn mark on his hand from the hot plates. When the waiter says, "Be careful, hot plate," you should listen!

As always, we had a wonderful time, and look forward to our next occasion.

We have dined here for about 25 years, sometimes for a special occasion, but more often when we simply want to be transported to France and have a superlative experience. The atmosphere, service, cuisine, presentation and value are all excellent.
