The location was outstanding and the major reason I chose this hotel. They have split the property into two separate hotels, the other one is called Cornerstone Inn. To get to the Motel 6 you have to drive around the back of the property.
If you really wanted to, you could walk to the Kings Dominion theme park.
The front desk lady was fantastic. Free coffee and tea are offered 24-7 in the lobby. There also is a microwave oven there for the use of guests. There are tennis and shuffleboard courts in the courtyard as well as a swimming pool and children's playground.
The room was adequate and everything in it worked. The rooms really need more power outlets.
My only gripe is with housekeeping. Upon entering the room it appeared it had not been vacuumed, with lint and other dirt particles on the floor. Also, there were about six old room keys on the dresser and some unwrapped cups on the dresser too.
After a day at the amusement park I returned to the room to find the bed made but still no vacuuming and no replacement of the used towels. And the waste baskets were not emptied. The used towels were taken away but no new ones added. I left a tip and note for the housekeeper but he or she did not take it.More
