We booked a tour of Chincoteague and Assateague Islands with Captain Spider based on the recommendation of our hotel desk clerk. Wow, he was right on the mark! Captain Spider is an extremely knowledgeable guide and left us with a memory of a lifetime. We traveled over two hours into coves and inlets and floated right up close to wild ponies on the shore. We saw osprey, bald eagles, egrets, loons, and numerous other water birds. Traveling past the famous oyster and clam beds was educational. Captain Spider positioned his boat perfectly and took a picture of my wife and I with the Assateague Lighthouse in the background. His stories and history of the island are most informative. He uses his personal photo album to further explain the history. Most importantly, Captain Spider will not go out if there are any safety concerns or weather issues. Thank you Spider for a very enjoyable outing.
