Simon and Alison hosted our motorcycle club this past weekend for 30 bikers and one dog.

The Inn is adorable. Not wheelchair friendly. Decorated nicely with original art, funky stuff and great ski/hike/biker lodge. Fabulous location.

Rooms are small but well kept and clean.

Simon vacillated between super friendly and then not. He wasn't thrilled with the dog (understandable since he stated that dogs have ruined the rooms) but then don't advertise "dog friendly." He asked us to quiet down while we listened to music and talked at the fire pit claiming the neighbors would be upset but then said he needs to get his own sleep! Why have the pit if you can't use it 'til the wee hours?

Hot tub was in repair, pool not yet opened. He cited the weather.

Breakfast was okay - same menu each day. Our group had dinner included and the food filled your belly but was meh.

Things that could notch it up: 1) add breakfast muffins, yogurt, fruit, etc. as self serve in addition to the menu items. 2) add a cheese/cracker for byob designated cocktail hour and/or fruit/cheese "apres" dinner time...like late night snack or something. 3) tips for breakfast should be included. Awkward leaving tip for owners. Not sure any of us did. Typically, one doesn't tip the owner but the sign suggested we do so. Weird.

Although some constructive tips, it is a delightful place and you can't go wrong. Just bring some extra food!

We are glad you enjoyed your stay.
We are a Pet Friendly Inn. As dog owners ourselves, we understand visiting other establishments can be challenging and we do ask that visitors to our Inn bring a travel cage to put the pet in when unattended. This is not an unreasonable request as dogs, in particular, mostly don't like strange rooms and try to get out thus damaging the doors and surrounds. That was the only comment made to you on this subject.
The fire pit is very popular with our groups and we ask that consideration is made to sleeping guests after 10.30 at night. Also a reasonable request.
We are a BED & BREAKFAST establishment and provide a extensive breakfast menu for a B&B. Extra items are added from time to time seasonally.
We always have a cheese/cracker/fruit reception for our groups on arrival night but on this occasion your group was late in arrival and we had to forgo the reception and go straight to dinner.
Tips are ALWAYS optional, where ever you go. Our notice states for STAFF anyway not owners.
We hope this answers you queries and thank you for your review.

I actually haven't stayed at the hotel (fortunately!).
I called to make a reservation. The owner quoted a price that was much higher than the one listed on their website. When I questioned the difference, instead of apologizing for the discrepancy, he repeated the price he wanted in a very annoying tone. I told him that he should probably correct the price on his website and he hanged up the phone!

Simon and Alison were amazing welcoming hosts who made the Inn feel more like a home then an Inn. The setting is perfect to allow guests to gather in groups inside or out in a cozy, quaint setting and play games or sit by the fireside .

Kitzhof Inn is a wonderful hotel to stay at. It has a family friendly environment. The owners are amazing and super welcoming. Fires are made nightly and breakfast is served fresh daily. Restaurants near by and the hotel itself offers an onsite dinner once a week. The rooms are clean and cozy. The rooms have wood log wall and the Inn has a Hot tub on site and in summer a pool for awimming as well. Minutes away from Mount Snow for skiing. Super convenient. Can't wait to go back for year three in a row!
