“The Best of Vermont!”
Reviewed 20 March 2012

I have now stayed at Deerhill Inn twice, in August and in February. In any season it offers the best of Vermont - a truly wonderful place to unwind and relax, and a great base from which to enjoy the beautiful Vermont mountains and outdoor activities.

The Inn itself has terrific views of the mountains, from both the rooms I stayed in and the dining room. Many of the bedrooms have their own fireplaces and jacuzzi tubs, in addition to excellent mattresses for a restful night's sleep. And there are several sitting rooms with big fire places for guests to lounge. In the summer there's a lovely grotto-style pool for a swim or sunning.

The breakfasts are hearty and delicious, with more choices than the typical B&B. The Inn restaurant at dinner time is a real gourmet treat with delicious menu choices as good or better than some of the best meals I've had back home in the city.

The Innkeepers provide expert hospitality. I understand they have taken over the Inn only in the past year or so, but they have the touch of seasoned veterans as they are terrific at making guests feel well-taken care of and at ease. The hospitality extends to the great service among the welcoming and accommodating staff. A real treat and hard to leave!

My girlfriend and I just recently stayed here over the weekend and had a wonderful time. We had stayed in the Tamarack Suite which included a gas fireplace, tv, king size bed, and an awesome bathroom with jacuzzi tub. It had an amazing view of both Mount Snow and Haystack ski resorts in which you could watch the sun set behind them. The food and service was excellent. We had a great breakfast on both Saturday and Sunday and an amazing dinner on Saturday night. The owners as well as all the staff was very welcoming and accommodating to any of our needs. I would definitely recommend this inn to everybody as a great place to spend a weekend to go skiing or just to relax and lay back.

Room Tip: Would Recommend the Tamarack Suite, you will not be disappointed.

Nothing is more relaxing than sitting in front of the fireplace at the Deerhill Inn's Tamarack Room, and letting all the stress of work melt away. Once relaxed, you then get to enjoy the most wonderful dinner filled with fresh food and exceptional service. It also has the most wonderful view of the mountain, which is only a few minutes driving distance away. The innkeepers were so pleasant and inviting that I would never stay any other place when I visit Vermont. Thanks for the hospitality and great weekend!

It's been almost a year since my husband and I stayed here but I still needed to tell our great experience. We stayed at Deerhill Inn while my husband participated in the Tough Mudder event. The town was really welcoming to all the participants and so were the innkeepers at the Deerhill Inn. We chose this inn after reading the reviews and we felt it was a great choice. The Tough Mudder competition is a 10 mile run up and down Mt Snow and is pretty chaotic to say the LEAST. I didn't run in it but just being a spectator is pretty challenging. Having a peaceful night's sleep the night before and after was important for my husband and the Deerhill Inn didn't disappoint. For a small quaint inn, they had a very sophisticated dinner menu. The food was excellent! Their breakfast that I believe was complimentary was excellent too! They were very accommodating with tough mudders by providing extra garbage bags for dirty clothes and towels (believe me if you see this event you'd really appreciate it!) We wanted to be respectful of their property so we made sure to take off our muddy shoes, etc before entering the inn. They're on the bus route for tough mudder but it was a close drive which is very convenient.
Coming back to the peaceful inn made us forget what insanity we came back from and it was perfect! The innkeepers add really nice touches like fresh baked cookies. We both agreed we'd love to come back and check out the inn in the fall or winter. It's a beautiful property. We really enjoyed our weekend.

Room Tip: We stayed on the 3rd floor in the back and really liked the room. It was quiet.

My husband and I just stayed at this inn for the first time. The Inn sits beautifully on a hill overlooking the village. Each morning we enjoyed our breakfast looking at the view and watching the birds enjoying their breakfast right in front of us. Evenings were spent relaxing in front of a fire the innkeepers were so kind to make for us in the room of our choice. The second night the restaurant was open and we were able to enjoy an amazing four course meal in front of a cozy fireplace in one of the dining rooms. This is truly "Vermont at it's best."
