“Good For Families and Rollerblading”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 April 2012

The Stowe Recreation Path makes for a great location to cycle with young children. Vermont does not have many safe places to ride where you don't have to worry about cars. The bike path allows you to ride without worrying about being run over by a distracted driver. It is not very good for more experiences cyclist due to the crowds unless you get out there early in the morning. It is also a lot of fun to roller blade on. The scenery is beautiful and much of it follows a brook. There are several good spots to stop and have a picnic lunch or just relax in the shade. In the winter months they groom a track set trail for cross country skiing.

“Wish I lived closer...”

This is awesome! We walked it in March on an unseasonably warm day. Pretty - scenic and you can walk into Stowe and take the shuttle back to where you were if you don't want to walk it back. Free entertainment! But if you walk toward the village of Stowe, make sure you look behind you to see the mountain views!

A highlight of the area. Anyone can use it. Walking, running, bicycling, X-country skiing. Quiet and beautiful views.

“Fun bike ride with younger kids”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 March 2012

We cycled the path with kids ranging from 3 - 7 and they all managed to get most of the way there and back. There were a few tricky crossings and tight corners over bridges, but we had a lovely day with a good stop in a cafe along the way. We also stopped and did the corn maze towards the far end of it. It was great fun and gave all the kids a break from the saddle.

The path has curves and slight inclines / declines which means it maintains interest. In my personal opinion, biking paths that stretch out unending are so boring... this was not.
