I know of no more memorable and glorious place to have breakfast than at Shelburne Farms, overlooking Lake Champlain. A night at the inn is wonderful too for the person who values charm, history and beauty over a modern bathroom and air conditioning. This is a setting where family memories are made and special times are shared inside and out of doors in a magnificent setting. I know of no more magical place.

I've only been on the tour once before of the farm and property, but I have gone to the Shelburne store several times. Their cheese is so great, we always stock up whenever we go with plenty of cheese although it is a bit pricy. Tractor cheese is the best here, they also have jams and sausages. The tour of the farm and house are great, the house is really beautiful.

Huge and fascinating barns and farm buildings. Heirloom breeds of farm animals (horses, cattle, sheep), working dairy and bakery with great cheeses and breads. Great place to picnic or walk through acres of forests and pastures. Occasional venue for food festivals and other get togethers. A wonder lodge (for paying guests), on the shores of Lake Champlain.

Just the views alone, of the Lake, make this a worthwhile destination. They also have a very decent working farm.
