My daughter and I are from Santa Barbara and stayed at the Inn recently - we decided to try the restaurant for dinner - what a treat! The menu was wonderful and provided a great selection of appetizers, salads and deserts. We ordered beet salad and salmon and pasta dishes. Everything was scrumptious! And the presentation was superb! I would be remiss if I did not also mention the wait staff, chef and owner who treated us like kings for our stay. The breakfast was also such a treat. I can't say enough good things about this Inn and restaurant. If you haven't been, book immediately and relax for a day or two!

Number one place to go in Quechee. Distinctive appetizers and daily specials all hand prepared by Chef Alex. Prices are fair and plan on making it an enjoyable evening.

This is a very beautiful old inn and restaurant, next to the Simon Pearce restaurant. It was a very sunny and warmish fall day as we dined on the porch, overlooking a river and wooded area. We sat at the corner table with another couple. We had been out all day and were looking forward to an outstanding dinner. It, unfortunately came up a bit lacking. The service was outstanding, and our server, Maya, prevented this review from being a 3 out of 5. We started with some specialty in-house drinks, which were excellent and strong. The bread served with dinner was very good, always a precursor to a good meal. The Cesar salad, which several of us had, however, came up short on flavor and authenticity, even with added anchovies. Don't know why. I had the Roasted New Zealand Rack of Lamb, with finger potatoes, which again came up short on flavor and seasoning. It was slightly overcooked from medium as ordered. The meat could have been more tender as well. My wife had the Spiced Lamb Meatballs with bacon roasted Brussels sprouts, with cumin aioli, as an appetizer, which she enjoyed but had too much of a lamb taste for me. Our companions had Lobster Risotto with a Lobster “Brunoise”, beautifully plated but lacking real taste. We declined dessert. Prices are high as would be expected. The inside part of the restaurant was broken up into different rooms, adding to the old charm, which had different décor in each room. Again, the staff could not have been nicer and more professional. Probably wouldn't return for dinner. The inn or B & B portion might be worth trying in the future.

although my wife and I have never stayed at the inn we have always had one dinner evening with the proprietor Adam and his wonderfully competent dinner staff...the head waiter is truly amazing, he rarely writes down your order (never a mistake) and is personable and friendly(he has been there for years)...we always make a fuss about his impeccable service...the food and drinks are delicious and flavorful with ample portions...we have never been rushed to finish and the pricing is reasonable...can't wait to go back next year
