I'm not much into B&B's, but we were in a crunch so we decided to book Angie's Haven Bed and Breakfast. Met some very cool folks and the grounds are just fantastic. If you don't mind that feeling of "staying in someones house you don't know", then this place is perfect.
Recently my girlfriend and I took the task of finding a Bed & Breakfast that was far enough away from Boston to get away and not so far that we would be driving for days. Eventually we came upon a place called Angie's Haven in Brownington VT. It's located about 3 1/2 hours from Boston, but the ride seems much shorter. Jays Peak and Burke Mountain are close for skiing, yet the B&B is set aside which gives you the feeling of a true vacation. Locally there is a brewery called Trout River Brewing Company who's beer is quite good. We were greeted with offerings of homemade cookies and tea. Throughout the weekend we were served wonderful breakfasts, enjoyed the vast 82 acres and enjoyed a relaxing night by the fire. The hospitality was superb and I couldn't ask for a more perfect weekend
