“Comfortable, quiet, relaxing and fabulous...views for days...”
Reviewed 25 September 2018 for a stay in September 2018

We arrived not knowing what to expect. I knew that Vermont was beautiful, and I also knew that I wanted to stay on Lake Champlain. When we pulled up to the house, we were not disappointed. The house was clean, and just as described. The view of the water from the kitchen/living area was beautiful. The large deck was perfect, and even had some area under cover in case of rain. They had a fantastic fire pit down by the water, and the very first night we made S'mores. If you are looking for rustic living, this is your house. I felt that it was perfectly positioned for optimum viewing of the water. The stars at night were incredible...we saw two shooting stars, and they were so big you felt you could reach out and grab them. It is a rental, so don't expect expensive furniture, but they certainly keep everything clean and tidy. The owners live nearby, so they were available for anything that we needed. ..extremely nice couple. The kitchen was very well stocked with plates, mugs, utensils, pans, etc. The docks were great for sunbathing and kayaking. I loved that you could walk right into the water...no heavy rocks to walk over. I wish we had brought the dogs...they would have loved it. For those of you who cannot make out where the rooms are located from the pics, here is a little help. The bottom floor has one full bathroom, a laundry room, and play room area with two love seats, air hockey game, dining table and two bunkbeds (sleeps 4). There is also a separate bedroom on the lower level with one full and one twin bed. When you go up the stairs to the top level, there is a kitchen/dining/living area. The dining table is large, and the there are two full sofas. Plenty of room for hanging out. There are sliders to the large deck. There is a full bathroom on the top level, with two bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen bed, and the other has one full and one twin in it. We were never cramped, and never on top of each other. There is a great little general store within 5 minutes of the house, where we did most of our food shopping. You can get gas there too. All in all, if we go back for a visit, this is the house we are staying in. A great time was had by all...
