“THE INN AT WILLOW POND, THE PERFECT VERMONT GETAWAY... AND THEY'RE KID AND PET FRIENDLY TOO...”
Reviewed 24 November 2011

The Inn At Willow Pond is a great place to stay year round. Gary and Vicky who run the inn are such wonderful people... And Gary... what can you say other then a perfect gentleman and Vicky, a total sweetheart. And they always make you feel welcome and treat everyone with such respect and are always so helpful. They really keep you coming back. The owners are very lucky to have them working there. It wouldn't be the same without them. And they are always so helpful and nothing is ever a bother. They go so far out of their way to help you find what it is you're looking for whether it's a local attraction you're seeking or something much further off the beaten path, they'll find it and print you directions, supply maps or brochures, whatever it takes...

The inn is such a nice place to stay. Clean, quaint, great service, best coffee in town and kid and pet friendly. And what's best is it's close to everything... skiing, hiking, hunting and shooting, fishing, row boating, shopping, horseback riding, snowmobiling, golfing directly across the street, historical sites galore, great places to inspire artists, writers, photographers, you name it...

In the winter, there's nothing better then having your breakfast and coffee in the lodge by a roaring fire and watching a beautiful Vermont snow fall. There are also plenty of rooms with fireplaces for your own personal enjoyment. And in the summer, the rooms all have great A/C.

The Inn At Willow Pond is simply a quaint place to visit and soak up all the Southern Vermont has to offer.

Room Tip: All the rooms are great. If you want a mountain range view than you want to face Historic Route 7A...

I have been coming to the Manchester/ Southern Vermont area for over 15 years and have stayed at all the popular Hotels and Inns. Howevever, the place I come back to again and again is " the Inn at Willow Pond."
The beautifully Maintained Grounds and Spectacular Mountain Views, Coupled with Accomodations that are spacious, clean and comfortable, have made this my regular seasonal getaway and the perfect place to recharge my Spirit.
The staff is and has always been warm, hospitable and Genuine, to my wife and myself as well as to our guests, whether it was serving to a wedding party of 60 or an intimate gathering of couples for wine and cheese at the fireplace. Gary especially has been most accomdating and Gracious and an invaluable asset to the inn.
"the Inn at Willow Pond" is perfectly close to all thats happening in Manchester Center and yet down the road enough to be the perfect getaway retreat.
To all at "the Inn at Willow pond"....I cant express my appreciation enough.

I have stayed at this place many times over the last six years. My husband and I love how inviting and unpretentious the staff is. The rooms are spacious and quaintly decorated( but really, who cares about the room decor. You do not go away to stay in your room and admire how it is decorated). Regardless, so very comfortable to go back to the room after a day out to a clean room and watch the fireplace flicker while drinking a nice glass of wine.
We had our whole family come up to celebrate our Wedding here. We pretty much took over the whole place for the weekend. The food was amazing! The bonfire that Steve set up was beyond our expectations!
Gary is pleasant and wonderful and Steve knows which restaurants in the area hit the mark, being a NYC resident, I am a bit of a restaurant snob! ;)
Vicky is a sweetheart
The views are fabulous!!!!

Definitely worth it!!!

An enthusiastic thank you to the staff (Gary and Vicky) of “The Inn at Willow Pond”. We booked several rooms for our wedding group and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean with views of the beautiful Vermont foliage. Gary and Vicky gave us great tips on what to do and see in the area and importantly, told us the best places to eat!

We stayed in late September, 2011 for 2 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The unit (I hesitate to call it a "room") was very large and had a bedroom and a "sitting" room out front. Some of the other rooms talk about there being no view, so maybe being from flat Western NY fooled us -- but there was a beautiful mountain that you could see from the front balcony. Pretty scenic!

TVs were small, but adequate. It was just the 2 of us in a wonderful king bed, but I believe the couches pulled out into beds if you had more people. Fireplace was nice!

Again, not sure about the other reviews, but our room looked to be either very new or freshly remodeled. You could stay at an "Inn" and enjoy the quaint "oldness", but for us new and modern and CLEAN worked well. Parking right next to the unit. No problems with noise, I would recommend this place for a romantic getaway.

Gary the manager was awesome, very friendly and helpful in every way. The lodge was really nice (with wi-fi) and breakfast was great too. I could not stop eating the fresh fruit, and the jam and vermont cheese was wonderful. Yes, it's a little out of "downtown" Manchester Center, but so what? Even at the Equinox (which we drove by), you still couldn't walk to town.

We'll be back!

Room Tip: These are almost like townhouses. You could ask for an end unit for a bit more privacy.
