My fiancé and I wanted to see the real Vermont and learn about its history and witness the Vermont October foliage and learn about local hidden gems. Dick and Sharon O'Connor were our guides; Dick in the morning for a historical tour of Bennington where we learned about Ethan Allen and how Vermont became a state, and observation of local architecture and covered bridges. Sharon in the afternoon for what she described as a more "fluffy" tour of foliage, marble quarries, pottery shops, kitchen stores, and maple syrup production farms, topped off by feeding llamas apple slices! Both had excellent recommendations for local restaurants and shopping. Sharon made a point of knowing a bit about of each of her passengers before the tour started, and she engaged each of us about our homes and interests and got the group to learn about each other and engage in fun discussions as the tour progressed. We highly recommend these tours to folks visiting Vermont for the first time.

Thanks Sharon for a wonderful tour. It was informative and the locations you took us to were breathtaking. Loved the quarry and the alpaca stops. Also enjoyed learning about Vermont being its own country! You also left us enough time for the passengers to chat which was really fun. An overall enjoyable day and we took some great pictures.

Hi, my wife and I took the Southern Vermont Tour from Manchester on September 19. It was excellent overall...interesting stops...comfortable accommodations..great commentary by Joanne. There were several disabled folks on our tour and Joanne was very helpful making these folks feel comfortable. The quarry, alpaca farm and sustainable farm visits were great. And we learned some Vermont history. Who knew that Vermont was not one of the original 13 colonies? Know we know! Trip was also very much worth the cost. We'd recommend it highly as a good way to get to know Manchester and southern Vermont.

If you come to the Manchester/Arlington area of Vermont, you MUST take a tour with these folks! Informative, educational and a whole lot of fun! We took the back roads tour, visited a working sugar shack, an old marble mine, a fantastic and world famous kitchen store and a whole lot more. You'll learn what truly makes Vermont a unique state and sample some maple syrup! Light walking at destination stops and clear dialogue from your tour guide. Fantastic Tour Guide! We will book again next trip to Vermont on a different tour - these folks have several.
