This was our second visit to the Inn and it was even better than we remembered! Jack and Maryanne were so warm and welcoming you can’t help but feel like home! The breakfast was out of this world...and the yogurt!! Can’t wait for next year ❤️

Second stay for my husband and I at this Special Inn .The Inn is lovely with large open rooms and fireplaces everywhere. The Inn keepers Jack and MaryAnne are friendly and layed back . MaryAnnes breakfasts are delicious! The dining room is a great bird watching spot while enjoying breakfast or a coffee. The rooms are all unique and beautifully decorated with fireplaces! We will be back !

When my wife and I decided to take a break from winter in Pennsylvania and head north to Vermont, our friends laughed. But we had found the Inn at Ormsby Hill several weeks earlier, and knew we were headed for a special winter getaway. I cannot imagine a more relaxing, enjoyable, romantic inn. Our hosts, Jack and Mary Ann, were gracious and accommodating from the moment we arrived, and while we had the chance to see other rooms, I'd have to say the Tower Room -- a three-level suite with views of mountains to both the east and west -- was by far the best choice for our visit, which included celebrating our anniversary. Everything in the inn evokes history, from its 1790 construction to the rooms named after famous guests, including President Taft and Robert Todd Lincoln, the president's oldest son who came to love Mansfield, and who built his own residence on 400 adjacent acres. Assisted by veteran staff member Candi, Jack served us a perfect breakfast each day, and shared the inn's history in fascinating detail. The dining room is exquisite, and one morning, we watched a furious snow squall through its ornate windows, while Jack helped us identify the birds on the inn's feeders. Everything about the inn appealed to us, from its location and proximity to so many interesting attractions and fine restaurants to the warm hospitality of our hosts. This is a gem of a place to enjoy the very best of New England. And one other thing: the mattress on our beautiful bed was the most comfortable one either of us had ever enjoyed.

Thank you Steve,

It was a pleasure having you both for that mid-week winter break from Pennsylvania. You summed up the Inn and Manchester so well. Manchester Vermont is such a beautiful place winter summer and fall. We hope to see you again soon.

We have been spending Christmas at The Inn at Ormsby Hill for over 12 years. That says it all. When you have a great stay in a beautiful building, it is easy to come back year after year. We have been at this Inn through three sets of owners. Each time the owners change, the Inn gets even better. Thank you Jack and MaryAnn for loving this historic building and becoming our 'friends'. We will be back!

Room Tip: All the rooms are unique. There are beautiful pictures on their website.

12 years does say a lot - we are blessed to have taken stewardship of this beautiful inn. We owe so much to all the past innkeepers that have made this inn what is is today. We are even more blessed to have so many guests like you that have made the INN at Ormsby Hill their special place.
Have a Happy and Healthy New Year.

My husband and I spent 2 glorious days at this Inn. Mary Ann and Jack, the owners, were warm and welcoming from the start. Each room of this 10 room Inn is decorated beautifully....wish we could have stayed in every one! The dining room was gorgeous, food delicious with coffee, tea and snacks available at all hours. Again...do not deny yourself the blessing of staying in this richly appointed and comfortable Inn! We're returning next fall for the foliage season.
