We got a package deal from Killington dot com. The hotel
was great and the skiing was very good.
This is a small, private ( i.e. not chain ) hotel with good ammenities.
Its clean, affordable and the service is good. It has a jacuzzi and
a hot breakfast is included.

I read the mixed reviews before booking Mountain Sports Inn through a Killington ski deal. I was here during the week, practically had the place to myself, staff was friendly, morning breakfast was good, however walls are thin as are the bathroom towels. The room was basic but clean. I'd take an outdated clean place to stay near the ski lodge over modern decor father away. Would stay here again.

If you are a die-hard skier or boarder searching for the most economical overnight accommodations, close to all of the Killington base lodges, then Mountain Sports Inn is the place for you. Cost, friendly efficient service, including a hearty daily breakfast, makes the Mountain Sports Inn one of, if not the, best places to stay during your visit to Killington. In addition, if you need humility, the owner of Mountain Sports Inn routinely participates in slalom race competition in New England (last week he finished first in the "A" division at Killington). He is also an avid rider and, I'm sure, would be more than willing to share his tips on how to inprove your riding / skiing technique. Mountain Sports Inn is a really great place to stay. You will not be disappointed.

Just came back from The Mountain Sports Inn and had a great time. The accomodation is fairly basic but definitely good enough and the attitude of all the staff is first class and nothing is too much trouble for them. We had a number of issues arise which were out of the ordinary (like lost contact lenses and urgent train journeys) and they were very helpful in getting things sorted out quickly for us. The place was always clean and tidy and the breakfast was very generous with a selection of cold and hot food all of which was of a high standard and very quick and generous. The waiting and kitchen staff were all very friendly and a credit to themselves and the management. Downstairs there is a "hot" hot tub and sauna. I did not use the sauna but the hot tub seats 4 people comfortably and was a popular venue for guests after a hard day on the slopes. Killington is very spread out with all of the main bars and restaurants spread thinly along a main road of about 3 miles. At one end is the ski lifts and the other end if the Mountain Sports Inn. It is not centrally located so a car is ideal although there are free shuttles (quick and friendly) to all of the main restaurants and bars. In light of this it would be ideal to have a car in this resort as everywhere is a journey and ideally due to the cold you don't want to be walking late at night (as we found out on a couple of occasions minus 20 degrees C - very cold brrrrrr). Having said that I think that wherever you are in Killington you will need a car unless of course you are in a hotel near the ski lifts and you do not intend to eat or drink out anywhere, which is unlikely. Overall I would recommend The Mountain Sports Inn if you are planning to stay in Killington.

I have been staying at the MSI since 1998 and stay once or twice each year on a ski vacation. The rooms are clean and well appointed. The management is friendly and efficient. The breakfast is great. The location is on the main road to the resort and right next to an outstanding restaurant.
