We enjoyed our studio unit and the hotel amenities at the Killington Grand. Green mountains of Vermont very pretty. Rutland nearest town about 20 minutes away had nice restaurants - Roots our favourite - and an attractive centre full of historic buildings.
Lots of fabulous hikes nearby for all levels. Favourite Deer Leap lookout.
Drove through pretty villages where time stood still and scenic countryside on a day trip to lovely Burlington on Lake Champlain. Good pedestrian area full of outdoor restaurants and good shops and a nice lakefront area.
We loved our holiday and if you like beauty and quiet, you will too.

Some people have panned this hotel/condo but we think its great. We have stayed here multiple times, and will continue to do so. Location is slope side- only a 5minute walk to the main chair lift. The hotel, while somewhat noisy is clean, comfortable and affordable if you rent a condo unit and make your own meals. The pool and outdoor hot tubs overlooking the mountain are second to none. (in the East) The breakfasts are plentiful - everything anyone could want before a day on the hills. The only drawback is if you get a room on the left wing slopeside, because if you sleep with your window open like we do, you can hear the pool's pumps running all night and its pretty noisy. Slope side condo's don't really have that great a view - windows are small - parking lot side is actually quieter at night because you can't hear the snow cats on the mountain. (they go all night long - that's why the conditions are always so good)

Room Tip: Parking lot side on the right side of the building as you look towards the hill. (I think that is th...

The hotel is just across a bridge to the snowshed lodge. They have a ski check service to keep your skis right by the exit this bridge which is very convenient. We stayed in a studio room with a murphy bed and sofa bed. The sofa bed was squeaky and uncomfortable. The room was pretty average given the price. But the shared spaces are pretty. The prices even in March were out of our budget but I had won the trip in a radio contest. Would not stay here if I had to pay for it.

This is a great location and a good hotel for ski season - you can walk across the bridge over the snowmaking pond to the ski lifts. The hotel is getting a bit tired and dated, but it's not too bad. For example, many of the bathroom fixtures need replacing (I have stayed here several times in different rooms). As well, the walls and floors are thin, making for a noisy experience (especially people walking in their ski boots). The service from the employees is okay, nothing that blew me away. The pool and exercise facilities are average - nice to have, but nothing too great. I haven't been here in the summer so I can't comment on the amenities during that season.

This hotel has the best location in killington, right across from the snowshed lodge. Overall the hotel is nice - good lobby area with fireplace, nice fitness area complete with heated outdoor pool and hot tubs. But at the end of the day a few minor drawbacks remind you that you are in Vermont and not somewhere that a flawless experience is essential. One day it took 35 minutes took pick up skis from the otherwise convenient ski check (the front desk offered an excuse rather than an apology). Other minor flaws - the fitness locker rooms are cramped, crowded and dirty; the morning paper arrived after we had left to ski; and sometimes our room was not made up until late afternoon.
The rooms were comfortable and I would stay here again as its a decent hotel in a fabulous location. If you are a little patient and don't expect 5 star service you can overlook the shortcomings.
