My husband and I were traveling to a wedding and this Inn was not far from either the ceremony or the reception. We arrived earlier than we anticipated but Suzy knew we might be in before the actual check-in time. She had the room all ready for us. She made sure that we were situated and had everything we might need, before taking her leave and letting us explore a bit.
The inn itself is quite lovely, but add to that a gift shop / tea room and it's an experience we won't soon forget. With only three bedrooms, you certainly feel like you are at home and not in one of those huge, impersonal hotels. The ONLY negative was that our bedroom was upstairs and we had to go downstairs and through the gift shop area in order to use the bathroom. A little awkwards, yes; did it ruin the atmosphere, not completely.
The breakfast service was excellent! Homemade pancakes with apples & raisins; fresh fruit; and tea! The selection of quality teas was impressive (and we love tea!).
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Rose Arbour immensely, mainly due to Suzy's (the owner's) desire to make us feel at home. She was very accomodating and helpful. If we need to stay in this area again, we will certainly consider the Rose Arbour.More
