My husband and I spent one night at Rose Arbour on a road trip through Vermont. It is unlike a typical B&B in that the place is also a Tea Room and gift shop by day... this makes it a bit more interesting than your run of the mill austere B&B! The downstairs is filled to the brim with all kinds of beautiful and quirky items for sale, and the eating area is bright and cozy. The rooms upstairs are nicely decorated and very comfortable. The common area upstairs is also very nice and includes books and games. The whole building is filled with personality and spunk and the owner, Susie, was beyond friendly and accommodating. Her pancakes were amazing, too! We would definitely stay there again.

This was a wonderful bed and breakfast attached to a high quality tea rooms and gift shop. The breakfasts were superb and not too sweet for our european tastes! The accomodation was of a high standard, clean, comfortable and relaxing, with a guest sitting room which made a huge difference to the normal b & B experience. The innkeeper was welcoming , hospiable and we are just sorry that we couldn't have stayed longer (or had time to try any of the lunches!). This was a lovely experience and Chester is a beautiful village perfect for visiting the Vermont area, and we would recommend visiting Baba Louis Bakery for wonderful bread ,pizzas and salads.
