What a wonderful High Tea Hubby and I had in their lovely garden to celebrate our 17th wedding anniversary. The food was delicious - the setting so romantic - and the owners so pleasant and helpful...we couldn't have asked for a nicer experience. They even helped us so we could take a picture with our recalcitrant cell phone. Real service in a delightful atmosphere.

My husband and I live in Venice, Florida. We were sooooooo looking forward to visiting Chester, Vermont and the surrounding area. After much research, I chose Inn Victoria and the Chester area to stay for two (2) nights. Our scheduled nights were September, 15 and 16.

Unfortunately, with the huge hurricane "visiting" Florida, we had to cancel our entire two (2) week trip -- given the governor of our state told us to "stay put" unless we were evacuated. When discussing our dilemma with the innkeeper, Rita, she was excellent in terms of talking through the issue with me. She reviewed the problem with Penny, the owner, who also assisted us with the dilemma.

In fact, every innkeeper we talked to in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont were very sympathetic and worked with us. We will definitely reschedule our trip -- probably in May to avoid the Florida weather - and will stay at Inn Victoria while visiting Vermont.

Not sure if our room is still available but I would highly recommend this Inn to anyone reading this review and interested in the Chester area. In fact, the weekend of 9/22 and 23 is the Chester Fall Festival which looks to be a really cool festival.

Thanks to Penny and Christine. We look forward to meeting you in May 2018.

We travelled with another couple for a four night visit to the area for the purposes of hiking in mountains and swimming in the swimming holes nearby. This was our second stay at Inn Victoria. The main motivation for our return was the ability to have the two rooms at the back of the first floor (Helena and Albert). After a long hike, it was fantastic for the four of us to meet in the hot tub and have the deck to ourselves. Highlights were private use of the deck and hot tub, homemade cookies and a dining room with bottled water and great coffee whenever. We had the pleasure of having Rita and Paul as our hosts, as Dan and Penny were away for three of the four nights. They were accommodating at every turn and really made the stay superb. Rita realized that we do not like heavy breakfasts and asked us what we prefer. The breakfasts she created were therefore tailored to our likings. We appreciated their friendly but non-intrusive manner.

It would have been nice to be asked about our food preferences the last night. Next time we return, we will speak up about them in advance.

From the moment you step foot onto the front porch, you are embraced by the simple elegance that Dan and Penny have created in this beautiful romantic inn. Totally non-pretentious in nature, but filled with every detail possible usually found in upscale inns. Having travelled across New England and New York over 40 years, we have made it a hobby to relax in country inns far from the beaten path. I can honestly say that Inn Victoria has been the overall best experience. The warmth and graciousness of Penny and Dan and their innkeepers, Paul and Rita, cannot be understated. The exquisite bed linens, towels and robes along with specialty shampoo and body cream are just a few of the details that were so appreciated. I didn't need to bring anything with me but my toothbrush, toothpaste and hair brush! It was so liberating. The town itself is the perfect backdrop for anyone trying to escape the stresses of daily life or to create romantic memories. The food was plentiful and full of traditional favorites. High tea is a must, even if you are a coffee lover. We will be back for sure.

Room tip: Princess Victoria room very sumptuous with a king bed and jacuzzi tub.

My friend and I are school teachers. We decided to jumpstart our summer with the Vermont Inn to Inn walking tour. Each Inn has its own personality and charm. We were welcomed at each Inn with refreshing beverages after our daily walk. Every Inn keeper made us feel right at home. The meals were delicious and very filling. We are both gluten free and each Inn prepared us meals that accommodated our dietary needs. I highly recommend Vermont Inn to Inn. Although, each Inn had wi-fi, we appreciated disconnecting from "the world". Parts of the walk take a bit more stamina for the hills but the views are well worth it. Plan on taking extra time in the towns of Weston and Chester to soak in the New England charm.
