I stayed at this hotel when visiting my father at the hospital. The price was excellent and the owner was extremely helpful. The room is dated to the point of nostalgia- you cannot be picky and stay here, but the setting is safe and clean and the exterior pool area was well cared for. You can park right in front of your door, which is very convenient. I slept soundly. Don't expect amenities; bring your own hairdryer and shampoo, although if you need anything, the office will provide. This is a very pet-friendly hotel.

I chose this motel based on T.A. reviews I'd read. If all you want is a basic, clean motel near the airport, this is the place for you. Although the carpet was stained in several places, the room was large enough and had a kitchen (that I didn't use). The location was quiet and easy for getting on and off the highways, although a little farther away from downtown Burlington that some may want. But, it is extremely convenient for flying in and out of the airport. The only complaint I had was that there was only one lock on the door - no deadbolt.

If you're looking for an inexpensive place to stay near the Burlington Airport and aren't looking for much in the way of amenities, this is a great little place. It does feel a little bit like you're in a Coen brothers movie, but beyond that, I would definitely stay here again. Family-run, old-fashioned feel to it, but they do have free wi-fi, which was a pleasant surprise.

I don't see how anyone could really have a problem with this motel. It is not a 5 star property, but charming, convenient, and quite affordable. Great for a stay before an early morning flight from the Burlington Airport, or a place to stay after a late arrival if you don't want to be driving home in the dark after a long flight. Spacious room, minimal amenities, but what would anyone expect for 60 dollars a night!! We were perfectly happy with this room, and will definitely stay here again. We also stay at the Ho Hum motel across the street, and they often seem to have a price war between the two, so call both for your best price, as both hotels are similar. I especially like the parking right next to your door so you don't have to schlep all your luggage into your room, and can go back and forth to your car trunk with ease for anything you forgot to bring in. Very well lit, and in a safe area as well.

There is a good chance you will hate the Ethan Allen Motel. It is quite rustic. Indeed, one might not know that the '90s happened by looking at the rooms. Nothing has been updated in years, but the rooms are clean, if a little worn. If you are accustomed to sparkling modernity, forget it. The E.A. is old-skool. You drive your car right up to the door of your room. Your door has a screen door on it. There is a window unit AC. The staff is really attentive and friendly, though. The bed is comfortable. It's sort of like staying at grandma's house and camping all at once. Some rooms have stoves, microwaves, and mini-fridges. Also, there is a very nice, clean pool.

My only complaint about the place is that there is only one lock on the door, so the rooms aren't terribly secure. Otherwise, if you want a cheap clean room near the Burlington airport and a 10 minute drive from the downtown area, the Ethan Allen is a good choice.
