We were passing through Bennington and decided to stop for lunch. We turned onto Depot Street and found this place. You park in the back and the entrance is on that side as well. The place was well decorated. I kind of felt under dressed (shorts and a t-shirt), but we were welcomed in by the host. We were seated on the front side of the building in the carriage overhang area (now it is glassed in), where people used to walk into the train station. My recommendation is you request this area when/if you go. It is bright in this area.
As for the food, you can't beat the price for the amount of food you get. We each got a turkey sandwich. It took up half the plates. On the side, we got sweet potato fries and coleslaw. We each ate our fries and only half a sandwich. The other half of our sandwiches were eaten for dinner, with a side dish of vegetable (not from the restaurant). Two meals each out of one meal each. Not bad for $10 a piece.
Only downfall of this place...the service was slow...and there were only one other couple in the place at the time. They were pleasant, but slow.
