The owner Betty was server, cook, and hostess. She was very nice and polite. I ordered Biscuits and gravy, it was a little flour for me, but good. Her cinnamon pancakes were very good. The place shared a door with a pharmacy and it looked like it used to be a pharmacy and restaurant now divided by a wall. The prices were reasonable and the place had character.

We stopped in yesterday (family of 5) on our way back from skiing in Northern VT. The owner/waitress was extremely nice and courteous. The food was all good and we had everything from pancakes to omelette to cheeseburger. The restaurant was clean and has a nice old-time theme about it. I would definitely recommend it if you're local of if you're just passing through on rte 91 in Northern Vt. for a quality local place to eat.

This newly-opened cafe is in the long vacant space formerly occupied by Pierce's Pharmacy and luncheonette. It is a real addition to Barton. It is open for breakfast and lunch. I had a turkey club sandwich which was excellent...real roast turkey as opposed to the thin-sliced and tasteless turkey cold cuts you usually get. My wife had a grilled cheese sandwich, also good. Both sandwiches came with french fries, which were excellent...and there were a lot of them. My only complaint was that there was too much food! They have a fairly standard "diner menu," with sandwiches, burgers, etc., and several daily specials. The service was very friendly and excellent. Hard to beat, and it is nice to have an alternative to Parson's Corner.
