Our family stayed at the Buffalo Sage Bed and Breakfast for two nights last August and fell in love with this place. The Buffalo Sage is a beautiful log built home a short drive from Tropic and Bryce Canyon - our room was exceptionally clean, comfortable and nicely decorated with authentic western touches that added to the atmosphere (we stayed in Hearts of The West Room).
Our room opened out onto a lovely deck which had magnificent views. At night we went onto the deck to see the stars - it was amazing, I have never seen so many stars before, it was so clear. Our hosts were really friendly and made us feel so welcome that we did not want to leave - and Alices breakfasts are to die for.
If you are going to Bryce Canyon area, check out this place, especially if you love peace and quite, good food and beautiful scenery.

The Buffalo Sage is an oasis of relaxed hospitality. The rooms are comfortable and clean, decorated in the western style. The expansive porch affords you a fantastic view of the mountains surrounding Zion National Park. Alice served a huge, delicious breakfast after our evening of stargazing the night before. We would certainly suggest this one!

Wonderful, clean rooms with clean, crisp linens. Bathrooms were immaculate. Breakfast delicious! I would stay there again.

I did have some problems that others may not find important to their needs. I found the bed lumpy and uncomfortable. There was a plastic mattress pad that made crinkly noises when you moved and so that kept me awake. Only 1 clear channel on the TV but there was a DVD player in each room. Walls were thin so you can hear voices in next room. Unlike a hotel, there is no maid service so beds were not made and towels were not changed. If you expect that kind of service, you will be disappointed.

The innkeepers were friendly. This facility is located smack in the middle of clear terrain and up on a hill so the view outside the balcony which was located right outside our room was fantastic and breathtaking. Unbelievable! There is no other place in Tropic where you can get this kind of experience. The house itself is big and spacious. You can be served breakfast either in the dining room or on your balcony. Temperatures dip in the evening which was wonderful during the summer. Call ahead for reservations.
