Came here last second while driving north through Utah. It was a really nice place to stop. It was early June and the temperature was pretty good, not yet too hot. It has a really unique entrance drive, where there is water all around you--looks neat in a photo. You can actually see Bison here, which was surprising to me but really neat for those who don't make it up to Yellowstone.
They actually have a reasonably priced concession area that was a nice place to stop after being by the water a bit. It wasn't your typical beach, not somewhere you'd want to swim. There were some skeletons of fish on shore, which made for neat photography and a very relaxing and unique stop. We did a little "hike" I guess up to a lookout point above the beach, and there were other paths to drive that we did not explore. Overall, this is a great place to check out if you're in the area.
