On a recent trip to Snowbird, Utah I met a friend for dinner at El Chanate. We started with a margarita and it was excellent. My preference is for a more "tart" drink and the bartender made it perfectly. Our waiter was polite and very conversant on the menu and the area,.
The chips and salsa were well done and tasty. I had the house special called Pork Chile Verde and it was excellent. Prepared in a banana leaf and covered with the green salsa the portion size was just right. My dinner companion had the chicken enchiladas and could not finish the portion.
There is a nice selection of micro-beers mostly from the area and we sampled a couple of those. Overall a very pleasant dining experience although, like everything on the mountain, it was a bit pricey.
