This is one of the best properties in Deer Valley because of its intimate size, location and quality of service and amenities. With only about fourteen units available for rent, you get all the luxury you want here, ski-in and ski-out access, proximity right next to the ski school and well-sized and nicely appointed units. The staff will stock your refrigerator before you get there, help arrange for ski rental and lift passes, provide transportation (first come first serve) into town, book restaurant reservations, you name it. Every unit has a hot tub on its deck overlooking the ski slope. During the summer you can sit on the balcony and watch the Utah Symphony perform in the evening. For those who suffer at altitude, this property is at the base of the mountain and still is ski-in and ski-out - so while it is still at altitude, it is about 1,000 feet lower than mid-mountain properties and much more convenient to town. The property sits just under the St. Regis so that if you want to go to a restaurant or bar at the St. Regis, you simply take a funicular train there. Finally, with the base lodge dining hall just steps away, you can ski into the skiers lounge, change into shoes and have a much more comfortable lunch than in ski boots. We love this property.

Room tip: Rooms in building 1 can be less expensive and are equally as nicely appointed as rooms in building 3, just have less of a view. Make sure to take full advantage of the concierge services and your trip will be greatly improved. While winter is prime season, summer is amazing as well - particular during the concert season as this lodge overlooks the performance stage.
