Went here for an early afternoon dinner today. There is a new item on the menu and it's the Black and Bleu steak. It's a 10 oz New York steak with bleu cheese crumbles and jalapeño bottle caps on top. It comes with soup or salad and choice of potatoes and veggies. Soup was homemade chicken noodle soup and was very good. I chose mashed potatoes and veggie choice was carrots or broccoli. I chose the carrots. Everything was very good with the small exception of the carrots. The flavor was very good but both my wife and I felt they were a little overcooked. She had the lite dinner of the chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and a house salad. Her salad was very fresh and the chicken fried steak was one of the best she's had in quite some time. Her potatoes were also very good.

We were seated right away. Given water. The menu is 5 pages of options. Breakfast is served all day. They had so many things to choose from. Our server was the best. Krysten was so friendly and joked with our family. She made the whole experience even better. We placed our orders with drinks. She brought our drinks quickly. It seemed like only a few minutes later and she was already bringing out our food. It was all hot and fresh and tasted so good. After we had enjoyed our meal, our kids wanted to share the "Kitchen Sink" for dessert. This is a unique dessert experience. It comes in a "kitchen sink". It is 2/3 of a gallon of soft serve vanilla ice cream. 3 toppings. We choose strawberry, chocolate and oreo which was recommended by Krysten. It's then covered in whipped cream, has 2 bananas, nuts and a cherry on top. We couldn't believe how big it was. They brought out bowls so we could all dig in. We spent about 30 mins working on it. But we didn't quite finish it. We still had a great time. We will come here again when we are in town.

We visited on a Wednesday afternoon, and were seated right away. Our server was friendly and helpful. We were with a group of seven and they easily accommodated us. There was a group of 25 students next to us, and they ordered several of the kitchen sink desserts - that looked fun! There was another group next to us with 20 or so family members that looked quite happy.

We ordered Navajo tacos, variety of sandwiches, side salads, fries, onion rings, tator tots, a breakfast dish, and the special of the day (turkey). I think next time we would all order breakfast.

Special request to Angie’s Restaurant - please add an insert with a list of all your sides. As a vegetarian, I would find it helpful, as I’m sure others would. Tip to diners - ask the server to try and list all the sides - you might hear something you would enjoy trying. They have at least six types of potato dishes that look good. And also veggies, side salad, cottage cheese, fruit, and many other options.

Good prices, friendly staff, lots of space, good place for a group. Fun retro feel. Lots of local history and family stories.

We dined on a Sunday morning, what were we thinking? :-) First off, they were slammed, but I believe Angie's has the BEST manager of any restaurant. It was efficient as they sat people for their meal moving quickly calling their names. Manager should write a manual for ALL restaurants on how to train their staff. Not only were the young wait staff friendly, they were quick and efficient. We got our food while it was still hot...not left in the window as some diners. I cannot say enough about this fine establishment. Well done!!! PS: The food was very tasty too!
