I stayed there for one night last week. I was bitten by the bed bugs all over 100 times from top of my head to the bottom of my feet. My room was infested with BUGS! It is a serious health concern to anyone who is going to stay in that place. On the 2nd morning I talked to the cleaning lady and she barely even spoke a word of English. I also alarmed the manager. My impression from him was like nothing was serious.

Room tip: Stay away!

This aging hotel is one of few places to stay in the Big Bend area and we felt that the owner took full advantage of that. We paid the highest price for a hotel room here on our whole month long vacation and the room lacked basic amenities including facial tissue, water glasses/coffee cups and a microwave. The room was clean and there was a small fridge and decent internet. There was no breakfast and the restaurant on site didn't open until noon so there wasn't even a place to purchase anything. Beware of places like this that take advantage of unsuspecting tourists. You could do so much better by being prepared to drive a bit further. We would not recommend this place nor would we ever stay there again.

Stayed here on the last night of our visit to Big Bend National Park, and we thought it was a decent place. The room was quite well decorated with western motif. The accommodations were acceptable though the bed was creeky. The TV did not work, but we did not ask it to be checked out since that was not a must. There was a Kureg coffee maker, but no coffee, but instead had cider. The place had a covered porch in the front with benches and I saw few people using it as a place for eating meals. The hotel has a full-service restaurant but we did not eat there.

Booked this hotel after reviewing on this site. The price for this room (over $300) was exorbitant for what we got. Room had a scorpion in morning and ants crawling all over the heater in bathroom to warm water for shower (takes 25 minutes before shower can be taken). Wind blew one night and tin covering roof sounded like it was going to fly off. Spotty internet connection and if you want to watch TV only one very fuzzy channel. Cannot cancel as they will keep full amount of time booked. Recommend you do not stay at this hotel.

We rented the revamped tour bus but the air conditioning did not cool the bus. It was very hot since the bus was not covered and in full sun. They gave us another room but the fabric softner/spray they used on the linens was overpowering and interfered with our sleep. The shower stall was funky and you could not get in without drenching your hair. Also they asked that you not flush toilet paper down the toilet. Go figure!
We booked for two nights but left after one.

Room tip: Instruct hotel to turn air conditioning/heat several hours before you arrive.
