There are not a lot of options for food if you are heading to or from Caprock Canyons State Park, so I decided to stop here even though no one has written a review yet in 2018. It is right on the hwy so easy to find. Although there are steps to enter there is also a ramp. Once inside, the restaurant is clean but nothing inviting about the decor. The menu was surisingly extensive including many Mexican options. I ordered the daily special for $9.99-lemon pepper chicken, corn, baked beans, hashbrown casserole, Texas toast, coffee or tea, and a small piece of frosted chocolate cake for dessert. Lots of food and generous portions but my food was average at best. The chicken looked like a packed frozen boneless breast with a few seasonings added. The corn and beans looked and tasted like they came right out of a can. The casserole was probably the best part. Waitress was very nice. I was the only guest at the time but did not feel overly welcome.
