“Roadside Diner Delivers”

This roadside diner is a good stop for breakfast that is popular with the locals because the food is simple, good and cheap. For a breakfast stop that includes simple bacon, eggs and grits they do a good job, they're quick and cheap. Hard to ask for more. If you're looking for some white table cloth, pinkie in the air society breakfast try somewhere else, but if you're looking for a real diner with regular folks this one works.

Food is primarily comfort food. Only criticism is the lack of wait staff. Have visited 3 times during the month of March as friends really love it. Lack of wait staff is evident by long waits after ordering and lack of follow up once the meal is served. I don't think this is necessarily a fault of the owner as they have help wanted signs posted on a regular basis. I guess the market for staff in Rockport is tight.

We happened to eat here twice for breakfast... which was GOOD... but, alas, it was also in the middle of Crazy Spring Break and full to the brim with tourists. Yes, it took a long time to get our food, but the waitresses were already running around at full tilt and couldn't possibly get around any faster (and I shudder to think how the poor chef was faring!) A nice, cozy, old-fashioned place with traditional breakfasts.

Had large, fluffy pancakes that were very good. Had an omelet that was filled with vegetables. It was the BEST omelet I have ever had. I have to let you know that I had already eaten but knew we were not going to have time later to eat. I wasn't hungry but this omelet was FANASTIC. I asked the owner to write the name of the restaurant on the receipt so I could give a great review.
