“Crepes Vietnamese!”

It's tough to be a vegetarian in a fishing town so we don't eat out a lot. I'm also kind of fussy about Asian vegetables. So...we've seen Fai Foo's restaurant and seen them at festivals but had not tried them until today. At the HummerBird Festival we ordered the veggie crepes and they were tailored to order. Very fresh veggies and wonderful sauces. Large with a lot of filling. The owner and her staff were friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is in a strip center that has seen its better days and looks mostly abandoned but we'll definitely be going there soon. They also serve vegetarian (and meat) egg rolls, spring rolls, and more. The owner said they cook to the customer's preferences. Delicious! Also I really appreciated that the veggie crepe was a little less than the meat ones--often we pay as much not to have the beef or chicken. Oh, also they are small and the restaurant closes if they are at a local festival or out of town so call ahead if it's a big deal.

If you eat enough pho, you quickly figure out that the best places are the somewhat dodgy looking ones, that smell somewhat funny due to the spices and ingredients. This is one of those places.
The food here is excellent, perfectly seasoned (especially the pho ga) and very authentic.
If you're looking for a Vietnamese version of McDonalds, go to Hu Dat down the road. But if you're looking for the real deal, made by hand just like you'd get it in Saigon, you need to come here.

They do their best to cook good food but don't have enough business to justify carrying an extensive menu. It is a real shame as they have the talent. Location is not good and the facility is just not attractive.

We are part time Rockporters, and have driven by Fai Foo so many times without stopping! Always enjoyed the food they served at the festivals. We stopped in for dinner one night, had the place to ourselves, so it was like Ms. Kim was our private chef. The place is not fancy, but it is cozy. She will cook what you caught.....and it's BYOB! She will also handle a large group. We look forward to getting a group of friends in there when they visit us in Rockport. We thoroughly enjoyed all the food Ms. Kim cooked for us, and look forward to going back.
