Most of the tables were full except for a few. We were seated quickly and treated very courteously. We both ordered brisket sandwiches that were good. Sauces were delicious! We also opted to try the jalapeño honey butter cornbread which was also delicious!!!

Visiting Texas we wanted to get some good smoked meat and this was the place! We had the sampler with pulled pork, brisket and ribs. All were smoked to perfection, with great flavor and moisture. The bbq sauce was very good but wasn’t really needed because the meat was so good. We each had a side salad which was very large for the price and had the smoked Gouda Mac and cheese which was also delicious. The Shiner Bock made the whole meal incredible. I highly recommend Kenny’s and I wish he would open some restaurants in Cincinnati.

Fabulous smoke house! Food is amazing, esp the ribs. The waiter we had suggested the cornbread as a house specialty. We decided not to take that as we already had a ton of food.

During the meal, the waiter came by WITH a cornbread, on the house! the taste and texture was fantastic. We loved the food so much that we all overate!

Lets start with the service which was friendly and was exemplary. The food was very good, if just for the fact that both the smoked turkey and brisket were juicy and not dried out like at some other places. The flavor was good too so thumbs up. The hot smoked salmon we had for starters was just as good. I will certainly come back whenever I'm in Dallas. Just don't loose it.

Ate at Kenny's Smokehouse in Plano on Sat 10/06/2018 at 5pm. Cost before tip $77.84 which we thought was outrageous. We were unhappy with the whole experience and will not try again.

Restaurant is in an area with many places for food and shopping. Street parking was challenging on a Saturday night. The eatery shares a stripmall type street storefront with many other shops right on the main highway. Entering the nearly empty eatery, our hostess asked for our first name then a last name - Why? I refused. We were taken to a tiny 2 seat table with a bad location in the near-vacant dining area. . Unacceptable, I asked to be moved to a larger table in their unoccupied restaurant. So the experience started off on the wrong foot right from the start.

One waiter took our drink order and another showed up to take the meal order - neither introduced themselves. Food came out quickly and looked appealing. Server checked back with us periodically.

I had a small salad $2.99 which was quite good. Next had Pork Ribs and Brisket $22.99. Liked the ribs, but brisket not so much. Also had loaded mashed potato which was very good and the always good 2 beers @ 6.00 ea. Wife had St. Louis Ribs $24.99 with collard greens as her side which she thought was good. Ribs were tender and tasty, but she's not a big BBQ fan. She did get a jalapeno corn bread $5.99 which was warm and good - she ate the whole loaf. Ice tea for her drink was $2.99.

Then came the final surprise. Asked for the bill and gave my credit card to save him a trip. When our guy dropped off the bill, there was no breakdown of costs, just the total of $77.84 before tip. Wow.. That's pretty expensive BBQ for 2. It took me a while to track our server down to request a cost breakdown. Turns out, we had looked at prices posted outside the restaurant and mistook lunch pricing as what we would pay for the meal. Big surprise that cost was almost double what we thought it would be. Ok - live and learn, but we think for that money we can get fine dining elsewhere.
