Very nice course. Well with in reasonable rates. Had a good time. Played with three people I had just met. Would play there again just when it's not quite so hot.

Thank LionFred

I have been playing this course about 3-4 times a month over the last 6 months. This golf course is under new ownership so I will wait to see what happens. Already they have modified the monthly club benefits that you do not get 2 drinks with your round of golf. Really was it costing you that much for me to have an ice tea with my round. The course is really hard even with all the rain. You cannot hit out of any of the sand traps as they have not racked them in months and most of them are mud traps anyway, so play winter rules and pull your ball out of the mud and hit. Most of the employees are not seen anywhere on the course, no drink carts no marshal but its close to my house and that is why they get me to play. I will be cancelling my membership for the rest of the year .... rounds are 5+ hours...

Southwyck is a public course. But being a senior and frequent player in the local area, I am a member of the Senior Palmer Club. Rates are quite favorable and include range balls, two drinks and lunch. The course is a links style and is a lot of fun to play - just a few really tough holes. Bunkers were re-worked a couple of years ago and are much better, but can still be a problem after a rain. Greens roll true and fairways are usually in good shape. Staff is very friendly.

I have been playing for over 8 years at this course and its in pretty good shape as of this summer. I have seen where they let it go and the ground is as hard as concrete to hit off of sometimes. The bunkers have been redone and are pretty good if dry. The drink cart is hardly exists on the course..if you see her better get something because its going to be the only time you see her on the course. Its worth joining the players club if you play 2-3 times a month

Southwyck is a links style course in Pearland, TX about 15 miles south of downtown Houston. It is almost always in excellent shape and is a fun course to play. Number one is not truly a "handshake" hole depending on your drive, but I think this hole, as is the same for all holes, is fair. Nothing really tricked up about this course, but it's no pushover either. Some long Par 5's and both long and short Par 4's. Number 11 Par 3 is tricky and number 14 Par 5 can be a birdie hole with a good drive. This course is a real value and a fun track.
