“Home away from home”

The house was amazing. It was warm and cozy, and so very nice. Photos dont do justice of the place. We were 3 couples staying for 2 nights and really enjoyed our stay and felt very comfortable at Colgrain. When I emailed the owner asking what we should bring with us, she replied that we wont need anything. I thought that cant be right, but when we arrived I understood it really was true. In this house you wont need anything cause everything is provided.
Thank you for letting us stay in this beautiful home.

“Fabulous holiday cottage ”

My mother booked Colgrain for herself, my brother, me, my husband and two daughters and my sister and her family. We stayed for two weeks at the end of July and beginning of August 2016. The cottage is wonderfully appointed and there was plenty of space for most of us! My sister and her husband chose to lodge in the village, as they could only stay a few days. We found the cottage to be a fabulous base from which to explore Skye, the endless hot showers and comfortable beds welcome after walking in the rain! The park down the road proved a hit with the kids. The Edinbane Inn was a hit with the grown up kids!! The little touches like bottles of Sky Gold Ale and fudge were also a hit!! We had a lovely two weeks and would love to return. Best holiday cottage I have ever stayed in.

Colgrain is a real home from home, from the moment we stepped over the door we felt welcome and so did our 2 dogs who loved the large enclosed garden,my partner who drove the 250 miles to get there was delighted with the 2 bottles of Skye Ale as part of the welcome pack, even the kids were sad to leave ,we all hope to be back one day, fantastic cottage in a fantastic area.

We have just had a fantastic week in Colgrain. The house is a real home from home and has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. There was eight of us staying and it slept everyone comfortably. The living space was also more than adequate.Colgrain is also dog friendly which is a real bonus for us.Edinbane is a great base from which to explore Skye. We also had a couple of lovely meals in the Edinbane Inn which is just a short walk away. We would definitely come back here again.

“Beautiful holiday home”
Reviewed 12 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Stayed for long weekend with my husband and teenage daughter. Large house with 3 bedrooms and two livingrooms. Ensuite bathroom for one bedroom as well as other bathroom with shower upstairs and toilet downstairs. Kitchen had everything you could need and really handy to have milk, coffee and tea there. So quiet and peaceful. Had planned to take my dogs but didn't in the end. However, would have been loads of room for them and they would have loved the large front garden.
Edinbane Inn restaurant 5 mins walk away- would recommend a visit.
Dunvegan about 15mins drive and has a couple of shops for bits and pieces.
