We stayed here at start of Feb and had a great time. The hotel itself has a grand modern entrance/foyer and the exterior looks impressive however we found the rooms themselves to be basic, clean but basic and a bit tired. We were only staying for a week on apartment basis so cannot comment on the food other than to say the bar snacks at the Pool bar were tasty. It is so cheap to eat out in that area that we ate out all the time in the evenings and had our own breakfasts in our room. There is a small shop in the hotel stocking the basics but nearby were lots of supermarkets who keep all you need for your room as far as food goes.

The pool area was good with lots of sunbeds even though there was the usual rush at 8.30am for the pool opening to secure a bed area of your choice. Not much entertainment at the pool but then it was early Feb which would not be the busiest season and the children's entertainment at night (6pm) was woeful but we had no children so didn't affect us.

The hotel has a decent gym which again, was not too busy and a wee kids indoor play area which looked good. All these areas were clean and safe and well maintained.

The hotel is in a central position with plenty going on in both directions, the usual plethora of gift shops and lots and lots of restaurants/cafes to suit all tastes.
As they say, you get what you pay for and it certainly was not the most expensive hotel however the room we were in (on 5th floor) could have done with a refurbishment as it was getting tatty, specially seating, tables and chairs but were clean nevertheless. The bathroom/toilet/shower area again needs renewed/refreshed as the woodwork around the door had seen better days and the shower fitment was hanging together but worked.

The hotel is fine for a basic holiday as long as you are not expecting 4 or 5 Star.

Room tip: Think most rooms have a Pool / Sea View.

Have been coming to this hotel for 25 years . This year the standard of the hotel has dropped dramatically. The cleanliness of the apartments is apulling. The furniture is old and falling apart. People do not respect the apartments and the pool area is disgusting the floor area has not been washed sweeped in the last 2 weeks. It used to be a nice quiet hotel now they have package holidays there including hen and stag parties there is no rules and regulations

Thank you for your comments, these have been passed on to housekeeping for future improvements. Our pool area is cleaned twice a week, and we welcome all kinds of people to our hotel and apply the same rules and regulations to all.

We were pleasantly surprised on arrival because of reading some bad reviews. Our room 915 had a good view of the sea, and sun for majority of the day, beautiful view of stunning sunsets. We were informed it was one of the better rooms, it was a little tired, bathroom door could do with replacing, patio door did not lock, we did report this, room was cleaned every day. Breakfast was good, fresh bread/rolls every day, freshly cooked omelettes etc while you waited, for the price we paid we were satisfied. Did not use the pool as sunbeds were "reserved" by people placing towels on early morning then not using until later, seems to be a problem everywhere now. For such a large hotel, there was a very small bar area by the reception, although you are well positioned for the numerous restaurants/ bars adjacent to the beach. Again booked through Travel Republic at a reasonable price.

Room tip: Room 915 sunny balcony

Thank you for your kind words. We're happy to hear you enjoyed the views and breakfast on offer. We do try to monitor the 'reservation' of sunbeds as best as possible - you can always speak to the lifeguard on duty.
