top marks for food plenty of choice, little bit of queing but considering the volume of guests there well done, pools great, entertainment a bit cheesey but hey your on holiday for a laugh, you do need to hire a air con unit in room but well worth it, beds bit hard but we find that everywhere, clean hotel, would consider going back as a great experience had. oh and if you get chance to hire bikes with the engine on for 19euros for 4hours its an experience well worth having a go hell of a laugh. tx

Room Tip: we were on top room 879 overlooking main pool and entertainment, wasnt to noisy as some reviews are saying if you want complete silence then dont go to a holiday resort.

me and my boyfriend came here 12th sep for a week and was very hapy of the apearance of hotel, room and balcony was very big but a very long walk from reception, food was ok,after a couple nyts we soon realised that food would get beter if important guests arived. The hotel was ful of diferent nationalitys, holand, polish, skandinavians, portugeise, german and tiny amount of english which we found very hard to find people to talk to. The kasbah at nyt time was terible we found it almst imposible to quietly walk alng the town wivout diferent promoters naging u to come into ther bars, restaurants etc. Every nyt we would see the 3same prostitutes on the corner. And a big thing about this hotel and area ther is alot of gay men and woman which my boyfriend wasnt hapy with as they could nt keep there eyes of him. Overal we did enjoy ourselves but we wouldnt come bak to this hotel or area again.

We stayed at the IFA Buenaventura from the 3rd-10th September. We arrived at 9pm and were worried we had missed the dinner service but upon arrival a hotel employee rushed to meet us and told us to put our cases in their luggage room. He quickly put all inclusive wristbands on us and told us to get something to eat and to check in later on so first impressions of the hotel couldn’t have been better.
The food overall is mediocre, some dishes are really nice such as the chicken, beef and potatoes but others could do with sourcing something better such as the bacon for breakfast which is 50% fat. I agree with previous comments that the food is repetitive but you can avoid that just by sticking to one main dish/meat per night and not having a portion of everything. The main restaurant gets busy with queues forming after 7pm so try to go as close to 6:30 as you can unless you don’t mind queuing. There is also a bbq option as part of the all inclusive service but this must be booked 24hrs in advance but I definitely recommend this as the food is amazing from here.
The all inclusive drinks are very good too with all the usual soft drinks on tap and a lot of local spirits, beers and wines which were all very nice. We found a good drink was to ask for a glass of vodka then mix it with red and blue slushies.
The rooms are extremely clean and well maintained and the only thing that lets them down is the lack of air conditioning. Our first night was extremely uncomfortable due to the high night time temperatures but first thing in the morning we went to reception and they called for an air con unit to be sent to our room – this has a small additional cost but is well worth it.
The sunbeds are available from 8:30am and even by 1pm there are still some spaces available however the best spots right by the pool are gone by about 9:30 so if you want a good position get there early on. Reserving the sunbeds is forbidden and they are checked every morning.
The entertainment at the hotel is on par with the price and rating of the hotel. We stayed and watched it a couple of nights and thought it was alright.
Overall we were very impressed with the hotel and the negative reviews don’t do it justice. My main advice is to get an air con unit on your first day and you will love this place.

Room Tip: Email the hotel before your visit and request a room on the quieter side of the hotel or you will end up overlooking the bar and night time entertainment.

The hotel is very noisy around pool area until at least 02:00 in the morning to 7;00 (cause hotel staff started organize sun loungers after night party and they was noise too) No air conditioning, Our room was warm, but the noise stops you opening your patio door. You can hire a fan or air conditioning unit. Room doesn't has frigde, you can hire it for 5€/day.
There is not free wi-fi. You must pay 7€ daily, signal is on 6 floor rooms too.
Rooms, restaurant, pool are was clean. I recommend try dinner into banana bar bbq and grill.
Lot's of german guests probably about 70%, and the remainder english and from netherland

The hotel is clean, food is well presented and a nice quality. Dress code is ignored, states that you should wear long trousers for evening dinner, but only adhered to by new guests.
All inclusive guests have to use dedicated bars, but the Mon-Cheri bar was never open and the Banana bar only allowed use until 18:00, then reserved for BBQ dinner quests only, though the BBQ was free for all inclusive. This forced all inclusive users to use 1 bar in Honolulu area which was extremely busy. The dining staff were very polite and helpful, on the whole the reception staff were friendly, but for the all-inclusive bar they could be rude, a guy named Oliver would shout at the customers and shake the tips jar stating “it is normal in Spain”, so demanding tips which was quite intimidating, so not allowing customers to give where polite service warranted. This service made you feel second class to other guests, though ironically you pay up front and therefore a guaranteed client, where effort has to be made to keep half board clients happy so they will stay in the hotel and spend.
The hotel is very noisy around the Freddies bar pool area until at least 02:00 in the morning. No air conditioning, rooms very warm, but the noise stops you opening your patio door, though you can hire a fan or air conditioning unit, would recommend an air con in summer. The hotel should upgrade to at least ceiling fans, this would make a huge difference.
It states you should not reserve pool loungers, but by 08:30 there is a free for all and there are more towels claiming sun loungers than people occupying the area.
